Overview: This position is responsible for assisting and activate the global vision and strategy for branded social channels activation for essie. The role will focus on creating best-in-class owned and earned social content, while driving an authentic, diverse and elevated brand aesthetic on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and Pinterest.  This position is also responsible for conceptualizing, creating and management of content at Brand level for global social media channels. Reporting to the Director of Social & Influencer, this role is instrumental in growing consumer connection and further brand engagement.

You have your manicured finger on the pulse of social, trends and conversation and aren’t afraid to bring new and strategic ideas to drive the essie brand forward.  You have a passion for color and storytelling and all things social media.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Social Media

  • Assist in executing the essie global social strategy, tapping into consumer insights, brand equity and vision/mission. 
  • Drive creation of best-in-class Brand social content, driving trends and engagement with key community groups on social platforms
  • Lead markets in helping ideate ideas of how to increase presence and engagement on Tiktok, Youtube and Pintrest
  • Responsible of managing social content for global communications dossiers
  • Drive & create social content strategy for global campaigns spanning hallmark, brand and product animations
  • Manage and execute social content for multiple social media channels­­
  • Execute fully loaded campaigns including ideation, launch, monitoring, and analysis
  • Develop agency briefs and manage communications for global brand content and campaigns, collaborating with cross-functional partners and countries to ensure deliverables align with overarching strategy for the program
  • Develop standards, expertise, and best practices within Social to inform and scale across all marketing and channel platforms
  • Monitor and apply learnings for the ongoing development of global platforms on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and Pinterest
  • Keep a pulse on digital trends, new innovations and tools and social conversation around the nail category
  • Partner with team members to manage/create the global Instagram calendar and content, supporting key business objectives and messaging
  • Manage agency/project-based partners
  • Support invoicing and budget management for relevant work

 

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in social strategy and activation – preference for beauty and/or fashion -  with ability to drive insights and results
  • A pulse on trends, cultural/global conversations and the ever-changing social and influencer landscape
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of each social media platform from a brand marketing perspective, including platform updates, paid media formats, changing offerings, news, analytics, and reporting tools across desktop and mobile
  • A passion for data, analytics, insights and trends and ability to cull through and provide actionable insights to guide overall global social media strategy across all media types including video and live content
  • Keen eye for brand codes and tone of voice
  • Experience working cross-functionally and with agencies to develop campaigns and content that engage and create increased interest in the brand
  • Knowledge and understanding of social listening
  • Monitor trends via real-time reporting and identify ways the company can leverage current topics of interest, know ecosystem and demonstrate curiosity and customer centricity
  • A big thinker with highly skilled in storytelling and self-expression through color
  • Must have an excellent eye for design and photography
  • Must be organized but also nimble and flexible to adjust to real-time demand
  • Experience with social tools/influencer tools like Net Base, Rival IQ, Sprinklr and Traackr
  • Boldness to think outside of the box and bring break-thru, integrated ideas
  • Prioritization & Organization Skills
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills (written and oral)

  • Must be professional and energetic with a positive attitude
  • Command of painting ones nails an added plus
