POSITION SUMMARY:
We are looking for an Assistant Manager, Marketing + Merchandising Operations to join our Brand Activation team to project manage seasonal wall planning and kits, and support innovation initiatives. Lead communication with key cross functional teams to ensure key deliverables for permanent merchandising are met and accurately fulfilled, ensuring NYX’s brand vision is successfully executed.
KEY JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:
MARKETING + MERCHANDISING HUB TO INTERNAL CPD MERCH + DISPLAY TEAMS
Description: Key link between Brand, Creative, and CPD Merch Ops team. Responsible for gaining Brand approval for all graphics & creative elements for fixture execution.
Scope: Lead internal communication with cross functional teams + fixture vendors
SEASONAL WALL DEV PROJECT MANAGEMENT
KPI’s: Perm merch design is executed accurately, on time and within budget
Description: Manage seasonal reset planning, working closely with Merch Planning, Cat Man, Sales, Marketing, Creative and the greater L’Oreal CPD SEL team to ensure timely and accurate development is achieved.
Scope: Design and development execution for seasonal resets, new product launches and wall/fixture types for US chain retailers
SALES SUPPORT + PARTNER FOR IN STORE ACTIVATION EXECUTION
KPI’s: Cross functional timelines are adhered to by Brand teams. Vendor timelines are met.
Scope: Directly support brand hub for Retailer led initiatives (power wings, wall elevation, launches)
PDP DEVELOPMENT + PROJECT SUPPORT
KPI’s: Support/review final kit dev with PDP/Marketing partners. Retailer delivery dates are met.
Description: Support PDP team with US specific promotions - may include, but not limited to: Holiday, Co-brands, Collabs, and Club activations.
Scope: Support brand activation on kit merchandising and internal communication
REQUIREMENTS + SKILLS:
Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Merchandising, and/or Marketing – Beauty/Fashion Industry+
Minimum 5+ years in Project Management, Operations, Visual Merchandising, or related field
Understanding of retail principles, merchandising strategies, and consumer behavior
Proficient in Microsoft Office - Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Hybrid working schedule: 3 days in office w/ manager alignment for additional when needed
Excellent written/verbal, time management and quantitative/analytical skills
Adept at managing and collaborating with various personalities and communication styles; ability to anticipate needs and be proactive.
Organizational skills in setting priorities within established time frames and deadlines
Strategic thinker who spends time and energy on what drives the greatest results
Curious and asks questions - Intuitive thinker!
