Urban Decay is seeking a Chief of Staff to join our team in Newport Beach, CA.



You will work alongside two of our Executive Leaders in General Management on both the brand strategy and the operational business side. You will serve as their “right-hand” as they lead their business over the course of your 12 month tenure.

The Chief of Staff will support the President in the execution of the organization’s strategic plan, facilitate communication between the President, the leadership team & the rest of the organization.

In supporting our Executive Committee member in meeting prep, you will gain a critical understanding of the strategic priorities of the brand – both short and long-term.  When participating in leadership meetings, you will understand the intricacies of the Brand portfolio, business model, channels of distribution, competitive landscape, etc.


Create meeting agendas and materials including presentation decks or speeches.

Attend and take notes in the executive management meetings, retailer meetings, and national sales meetings along with the delivery of meeting minutes.

Additional reporting: Dashboards- Earned media value, NPD Category (reports), competitive pricing analysis, and competitive ad hoc analysis.

Assist in the creation of a forward thinking plan of growth for one of our retailer partners. Provide learnings to management and peers on market changes, growth initiatives and the inner workings on our retailer partner.

Drive competitive analysis of retailer in relationship to other retailers and opportunities for Brand portfolio.

Assessment and Next Steps

During the 12-month assignment, you will be assessed on your performance and your potential to take on a role at a middle Management level in L’Oreal.

We will look for your resiliency, vision, strategy, ambition and leadership.

Education/ Experience/ Licenses or Certifications:

  • MBA degree required


  • Standard MS Office applications: PowerPoint advanced, Excel, Word
