Section 2:  Job Summary:

Responsible for overseeing retail sales results, operational excellence and education initiatives in a given region.  Act as key liaison between Lancome and assigned accounts.  Supervise Sales and Training Executives in achieving their sales goals and ensure corporate goals are achieved.   Responsible for setting strategy and maximizing retail sales opportunities throughout their stores and online sales for all applicable accounts. The expectation is that the Regional Sales Director will spend 60% of their time in the field.

1. Bachelor degree and minimum of ?+ years experience in cosmetic or retail management

2. Self motivated, results oriented, creative thinker

3. Strong communication, presentation and organizational skills

4. Analytical in approach to identifying opportunities

5. Strong negotiation skills

6. Proven experience in managing, motivating and training a sales team

7. Proficient computer skills necessary – Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Section 4:  Judgment and Decision Making:

Judgment and decision making varies depending on the given situation.  There is daily communication between the Regional Sales Director and the FVP.


Section 5: Essential Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry 25 pounds.


Section 6:  Financial Scope:

Annual Budget Responsibility: Personal T&E budget, oversight of STE T&E budget, Freelance budget, and Event/Presentation budget.

Annual Revenue Responsibility:  Responsible for driving sales in $90M+ volume territory of 10+ STEs.  Additionally, responsible for delivering online sales to meet total O+O objectives.

1.  Responsible for analyzing all daily, weekly and monthly retail sales reports including competitive and mix of business reports.  Schedule quarterly meetings with retailer RVP’s, Store Managers, Department Managers and Business Managers.  Through the use of Yoobic SRSDs should ensure merchandising standards are maintained by the STE team.  Be aware of the competition’s activities and prepared to share information and ideas that contribute to future success at Lancome.  Feedback to senior management on launches and promotions is also a critical function to make recommendations for future improvements.


2.  Work with Account Teams and Field Sales Vice President to enhance and analyze promotional strategies.  Ensure execution and achievement of goals for all key artistry and promotional events.  Execute initiatives that drive O+O retail, inclusive of online initiatives from the accounts.


3.  Establish and analyze retail forecast by door and communicate to Sales and Training Executives on their progress towards this goal throughout the year.  Supervise STE activities to ensure the majority of time is spent in store driving sales.




4.  Identify, recruit and hire high-performing Sales and Training Executives for their assigned doors.  Manage team of Sales and Training Executives to ensure optimal performance including coaching, counseling, motivating and training.  Work closely with the Field Sales Vice President on succession planning.  Work closely with the Education partners on education needs for the region.  Assure diversity standards are maintained.  Liaise with store management on any human resources issues.  Actively champion SMART objectives throughout the organization to optimize efficiencies.





5.  Allocate freelance and T&E budgets to Sales and Training Executives.  Monitor expenses for Sales and Training Executives, ensuring corporate policies are adhered to.
