Overview: Develops and maintains detailed sales forecasts to inform supply chain processes and production planning.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Build detailed sales forecasts, incorporating inputs from account sales teams
  • Partner with supply chain and production teams to ensure production plan aligns with sales forecasts
  • Track business performance against forecasts in-year, adjusting forecasts as necessary to reflect market conditions and sales performance
  • Determine customer supply allocations and prioritization, taking into account customer dynamics and activation calendars to minimize out of stocks
  • Support launch planning process to ensure clear customer priorities, aligned pre-shipment approval and identification of potential shipment risks
    1. Attends COMOP meetings to convey potential shipment risk on constrained launch items
    2. Participates in collaborative Demand Planning launch planning meetings to offer field sales view
    3. Confirms pre-ships, customer priorities and risk allocations in launch execution meetings


Receives Input From: 

  • Account management – provides monthly refresh of latest field forecasts
  • Customer Supply Chain, BSM, and Demand Planning – provides inputs into sales forecasts 
  • Brand activation – provides brand context for prioritization decisions

Provides Input to: 

  • Account management – Commercial planning facilitates reconciliation of field forecasts with pre-budget during annual budgeting process 
  • Supply chain – Commercial planning recommends adjustments to production plan
  • Demand Planning – Commercial planning advocates for field forecast and production needs during consensus
