We have a suitable opportunity in the L’Oréal Dermatological Beauty Division for the position of Assistant General Manager - Sales. In this National role, you will lead the medical and commercial strategy for your region and ensure superlative execution by focusing on the development and coaching of your team.

You should have a minimum of 8 years’ professional experience preferably with FMCG or Pharma background. Experience in skincare/OTC would be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

  • Implement the Division's sales, distribution & medical strategy under the direction of Commercial - Head.
  • Achieve the sales department's quantitative and qualitative goals – Primary, Secondary, Tertiary targets, Market Share performance and other defined in-process measures
  • Recruit, motivate and develop the teams: by maintaining a culture of excellence up to the point of sale, develop the expertise and know-how of employees and implement organizational changes.
  • Ensure continuous communication between management and team. Inform and alert management to significant initiatives in the field (from the team, from the competition and from distributors).
  • Account management (Pharmacy & MT Chains, Distributors)
  • Co-design and lead the Route to market strategy 
  • Ensure in-store excellence and on ground activations 

Key Competencies:

  • Driven by a larger purpose with impeccable standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Should have a strong understanding of the complexities across distribution channels, and product positioning in the market.
  • Proven track record of developing market across GT & MT channels across the regions. – experience in Skincare / OTC brands being an advantage 
  • Natural ability to drive numbers and motivate the team to achieve business goals. 
  • Should have proven ability to drive decisions through data and insights. 
  • Accountable for the on-time implementation of sales organization goals and 
  • performance objectives. 
  • Responsible for the efficient allocation of technology, support and training resources.
  • Should be a self-driven person with high motivation for managing large teams for performance.

Key Competencies:

  • Strong on Stake holder management. (Marketing/SDM & Supply Chain)
  • Strong relationship orientation (with Key Accounts & Trade)
  • Should have ability to connect with people across organisations and across Geographies 

Physical Demands (e.g. % travel):

  • High on Travel with a minimum of 8/10 days a month.

Education:

  • MBA
