A Day in the Life

As a US R&I Safety, Health, and Environment (EHS) Co-op, you will report to the Assistant Vice President of EHS for US R&I and support the team in ensuring a safe and sustainable work environment for our Research & Innovation colleagues. You'll contribute to various EHS programs, gaining hands-on experience and contributing to L'Oréal's commitment to environmental responsibility. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and make a real impact.

  • EHS Program Support: You will assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of EHS programs, procedures, and training materials, contributing directly to a culture of safety and sustainability.
  • Compliance & Inspections: Participate in safety inspections, waste audits, and hazard assessments, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and L'Oréal standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement in processes, designs, procedures, and equipment to minimize hazards and promote efficiency.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate with various teams across the organization, contributing to effective communication and knowledge sharing within the EHS community.

 

We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual who is a recent graduate (within one-year post-graduation) from a 4-year college or university, with a concentration in Health Sciences, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, or a related scientific discipline.

  • Cooperation: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues across different departments.
  • Problem Solving: Analytical skills to identify and resolve EHS issues.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactive approach to identifying and implementing improvements in EHS processes.
  • Prioritization: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Compliance Management: Understanding of EHS regulations and commitment to compliance.
