Come and be a part of the exciting and dynamic world of L'Oréal USA as a Junior Marketing Associate! The L'Oréal USA 12-Month Junior Marketing Associate (JMA) internship program allows creative visionaries and strategic thinkers to enhance their marketing knowledge in a fast-paced and hands-on environment. The JMA program is paid internship opportunity for candidates who have already graduated with a degree within the last 12 months and is able to work 40 hours per week. 

We are looking for a 12-month intern to join the Global Social Media team at Urban Decay Cosmetics as part of the Luxe Division of L'Oréal USA. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent undergraduate with a digital or marketing focus. This intern will learn about social media strategy as it pertains to trends, content, community management, and creators within the beauty industry. This position will work closely with the Global Social Media Team to develop and implement social programs that best meet the needs of the business and markets worldwide. This position requires evolving knowledge of online trends, content trends, TikTok trends, and new platform features. Knowledge of Snapchat and past experience in social content creation are a plus.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist Global Social Media Team in providing support, guidance and best practices to drive social strategies and brand presence
  • Monitor social conversation, interact and engage with customers through social media channels, and respond on behalf of the brand
  • Contribute to the planning, executing, monitoring, and reporting of brands Snapchat channel
  • Assist with competitor and influencer research for presentations, story boards, ideas and internal benchmarking 
  • Contribute copywriting concepts to be used in social captions on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok
  • Assist with Influencer product send outs, organize Influencer /PR lists, and track Influencer efforts
  • Aid in weekly analytics tracking utilizing a suite of tools
  • Coordinate and organize publishing on TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, and BeReal 
  • Assist social media managers in general office duties and day-to-day projects
  • Monitor and pitch social trends to keep content relevant, fresh, and best-in-class
     

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate or master’s degree completed within the last 12 months
  • Interest in beauty/fashion; keen eye for trends
  • Must be familiar with present and up and coming TikTok capabilities and Instagram capabilities including Instagram Stories and Reels (IG Video)
  • Knowledge of online trends and evolving social landscape
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Must provide valid work authorization in the United States without the need for sponsorship in the future
  • Graphic design, Photoshop, and/or photography skills a plus
  • Dynamic, entrepreneurial personality with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Attention to detail, and creativity in problem-solving
  • Strong presentation, communication and writing skills
  • Personal maturity and positive attitude
  • An interest in the luxury/beauty industry preferred
