POSITION SUMMARY

The Keyholder will act as an expert in delivering on the transformational customer experience through balancing ‘Manager on Duty’ (MOD) responsibilities, the daily coaching of Beauty Advisors, and managing own individual artistry, sales and service goals. Will act as a leader in the store and is responsible for ‘holding down the fort’ when the Store Manager is not available, which will include monitoring sales productivity, resolving customer or employee issues, and opening and/or closing duties.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Leadership Presence
    • Lead by example and model behavior that reflects the brand’s core values
    • Appropriately manage conflict and take ownership in the team dynamic
    • Act as the Transformational Leader of the Floor and motivate the team on achievement of sales plans & personal sales goals
    • Ensure high level of customer service through extensive artistry skill, product knowledge, and product ownership
    • Partner with the Store Manager to ensure effective store communications, including but not limited to cascade of key information from corporate partners & execution of information from team meetings
    • Contribute to a positive atmosphere that is fun, professional, productive and team oriented
  2. Deliver the Customer Experience
    • Lead by example to create an environment that consistently delivers transformational customer experiences
    • Model a highly productive service environment by providing consistent training & coaching to Beauty Advisors
    • Take ownership for the customer journey in the store – customize it based on customer demographic and develop & maintain productive customer relationships
    • Demonstrate a strong use of artistry and selling skills
    • Lead the team by example through demonstration of artistry service skills, repeat business and maximization of sales through proactive customer outreach
    • Maintain a “One Brand” perspective on all transactions to ensure a positive customer experience
  3. Represent the Brands
    • Understand and communicate the Nyx Professional Makeup brand aesthetic, brand philosophy and lifestyle to the all Beauty Advisors and the customer
    • Emulate the brand aesthetic by embodying a strong sense of makeup artistry and an enthusiastic attitude
    • Contribute to maintaining all brand and operating standards to support brand consistency
    • Assist in maintaining store presentation standards
    • Leverage in-store technology to ensure every customer’s experience is transformational
  4. Operational Excellence
    • Perform store opening and closing procedures including counting register funds, completing bank deposits, opening and closing the registers and securing the facility
    • Accurately process all point of sale (POS) transactions, capture of customer information, and inventory functions such as shipment receiving, repairs and damages to maintain the integrity of the inventory.
    • Adhere to all policies and procedures with a focus on loss prevention and operational excellence
  5. Drive the Business & Deliver Results
    • Achievement of personal artistry skills, sales and metric goals
    • Build and maintain new and existing customer relationships
    • Generates consistent, proactive sales volume
    • Manage your people resources to maximize sales, traffic flow, floor coverage and customer engagement
    • Manage the sales floor with agility, changing direction & continuously improving based on key indicators and lessons learned
    • Be aware of and react to the rhythm of your business, not just relying on walk-in traffic but through outreach and event opportunities
  6. Complies with all Company policies and procedures, including but not limited to employee manual, ethical standards, health, safety, and security procedures.
  7. Perform any other job-related duties as required or that may arise in the future.

FORMAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Years of experience: Minimum 2 years of retail store experience.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent graduate education.
  • Languages: Fully Bilingual: English and Spanish
  • Travel: Do not require traveling. 
  • Systems: Basic computer knowledge.
  • Licenses and/or Certifications: Professional Makeup Artist certification, preferred.

    Work is performed at interior / store environment involving working on your feet all day.
