Kiehl's DMI - Director of Global UX / UI

POSITION SUMMARY

 

We seek an experienced UX/UI creative with expertise in all aspect of developing user journeys, including engagement/usability testing, wireframe design, and interface design/execution. The right candidate will also be able to work closely with marketing and e-commerce teams to align with strategic initiatives and establish best-in-class digital branding for Kiehl’s global vision.

 

 PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

 
  • Understand and evaluate requirements of the user journey for Kiehl’s global vision, using insights from creative, marketing, and e-commerce teams.
  • Embrace and communicate current/emerging market trends and best-in-class practices for mobile-first design
  • Develop storyboards/wireframes/prototypes to illustrate the design vision and support the entirety of the design process.
  • Content and asset creation for user interface elements and other design needs
  • Provide troubleshooting of UX problems and adjustment based on customer/team feedback
  • Create UX/UI guidelines and templates to reflect coherent and consistent global vision
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams and key global partners to create the best user experience for Kiehls.com

 

EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

 
  • 5+ years of UX/UI design experience, with strong visual design background and portfolio that include digital experiences (e.g., mobile/tablet UI and apps, e-commerce)
  • In-depth knowledge of Asian/Pacific & US markets
  • Ability to translate business requirements into elegant and intuitive design solutions, balancing customer needs, business goals, and technology constraints
  • Passionate about understanding and advocating for customer and brand needs
  • Self-motivated, organized, with solid attention to detail and follow-through skills
  • Excel in fast-paced, highly collaborative environment while working on multiple projects simultaneously

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong computer skills (excel is a must)
  • Must have the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment
