From the conception of Matrix and Biolage in 1980’s, Education has always been at the heart of the brand. CRAFT is a well known and love system of training and minimum standards of hairdressing skills which has made up the foundations of our education programs even 40 years later.
Matrix and Biolage, work in partnership with distributors UK and directly in the Republic of Ireland with more than 85% of education being delivered in conjunction with our distributor partners across more than 100 locations. We have a well-established Education and Artistic team, of +80 professionals delivering mainly face to face courses and in-salon education. During the Covid-19 lockdown we have amplified our digital presence across social media and launched ACCESS however retaining a good proportion of face to face education in partnership with our distributors, LPPD academies and direct to salons and freelance stylist will remain at the heart of the UKI education Strategy.
•Be responsible for creating content and driving the change to the way we communicate and reach our education community into the future
•Collaborate with some of industries the best influencers, to develop disruptive content which can be used across multiple platforms including social media, courses, webinars.
•Work closely alongside the Pro Advocacy & Community Developer and collaboratively with all the education team and other functions across the business as you create education-based content that will drive reach, engagement and product distribution but is disruptive, inspiring and on the pulse of what our community wants with an always clear call to action.
•Create GOMO (scorn) based education from scratch and amend any GoMo based learning received from our international team to ensure it meets with the UKI health and safety guidelines, has the correct language and terminology
•Ensure all materials meet the brand and country standards for social media and ACCESS
•Develop all aspects of the UKI content from planning to roll out for ACCESS and Social Media platforms in an agile and responsive way to drive relevant learning to support hairdressers at every stage of their career and launch new products and techniques.
•Devise content which drive engagement and incremental sales of education online and offline and increase winning new hairdressers to the brands and in-salon market share with existing users
•Along with the Online Education Manager, you will manage the ACCESS catalogue from the backend of the system, uploading new e-learning content and ensuring the catalogue has simple navigation
•Be responsible for amplifying social media education reach across all platforms (Facebook, Instagram and You Tube) with well-planned impactful and engaging content to build reach and grow a strongly connected community which keeps returning for more client read
•Be driven by qualitative and quantifiable results achieving them with integrity using tools such as Sprinklr, Netbase, NIM, Traackr and ACCESS field reporting to understand who impactful the content you have created has been and sharing these results with your manager and the National Education Manager
•Someone who has either worked in or had a great understanding with the hairdressing industry and have knowledge of the ways people learn from impactful content. Ideally you will be experienced in teaching, coaching or assessing. It would be an advantage to have achieved teaching/assessing qualifications and had experience in writing education courses and materials previously.
•A knowledgeable individual with experience of working in the backend of the either the L’Oreal ACCESS platform or a similar learning management system with an ability to manage and edit content and run reports.
•Have an in-depth knowledge of GOMO or equivalent software to build from scratch content or edit already created content to align with changes to products, launches and UK and Ireland specific health and safety.
•Have an understanding and experience yourself and/or coaching others to shoot education videos. and experience of editing videos using software such as; I-movie, LumaTouch.
•Experience of working with agencies including writing detailed briefs, checking the quality of the work produced and providing detailed feedback to create the highest quality content excellence.
•A great communicator, able to give and receive feedback with positive attitude, always be approachable and keeps communication flow at all levels transparent and up to date
•Able to work independently, take an active role within a team and be able to lead a team to stride for excellence and achieve results.
•Passionate about self-development, always pushing to learn and understand the next development in the digital arena to introduce new technology, apps, programmes and ways of working, as well as sharing to upskill Matrix and Biolage team
•An individual who is a consistent and a well organised planner, that can be reactive and when required can adapt and expand plans as a result of feedback and result sharing.
•A natural pragmatist, who demonstrate curiosity and strides to continually explore through testing and learning results and a willingness to make shrewd business decisions with your manager once you have gained all the facts.
