In the Professional Products Division, our mission is to support hairdressers and develop the hair industry sustainably, while benefiting all. We’re the founding Division for the L’Oréal group, having history more than 110 years ago.

You will:

Lead and Manage the process for new contract negotiations, using your financial and commercial expertise to support and advise the Divisional Finance Director, the Commercial General Manager and the Commercial teams and being the link between the Finance, Commercial, Credit and Legal teams for all commercial negotiations.

The following are an identified list of requirements for this role:
  • Work closely with the Finance Director to review and challenge business case proposals, minimum spend commitments and the risk profile of commercial deals with upfront sign on fees and varying levels of profitability
  • To be the main contact for all new business proposals requiring a contract, working closely with the Commercial teams to ensure the accurate and timely completion of business cases and loan processes
  • Assess the risk profile of the proposals based on the structure of the investment, the client’s business plans, the credit history and rating of the customer, insurance cover, etc.
  • Provide a customer facing project lead on loans and existing contracts from start to completion
  • Work in partnership with our Legal team to ensure that business cases includes all legally required information and sign off on initial contract drafts 
  • Track the performance and investment versus the contractual obligations
  • Monitor and manage the existing loans and, when required, manage the bad debt recovery process
  • Prepare budget and Trends, in cooperation with the commercial controllers, for loan interest payments, estimated sign on fees and other customer allowances
  • Continuous upskilling and financial training of the Commercial Teams on P&L and the impact of the different types of investments
You have:
  • Degree Qualification
  • Experience preferably within a consumer driven and fast past sales environment 
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Outstanding rigour and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills are essential as the role involves close liaison with different functions and stakeholders at all levels as well as direct communication with customers
  • Highly organised with strong prioritisation and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Highly numerate with good commercial acumen
  • Good negotiation and Influencing skills linked to strategic forward thinking
  • Ability to work autonomously and with complexity and multiple deadlines
  • Ability to work in an ever changing & demanding environment requiring multitasking, proactivity and organisation
  • Financial knowledge and experience in managing a P&L
  • Ideally, the candidate should would be a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA or ACCA)
