National Education Manager – Giorgio Armani and Valentino

Location – Office & Field

Direct reports – 1 Retail and Education Executive

What are key highlights of this role?

We are looking for an exceptional National Education Manager who will be responsible for delivering the education and engagement strategy for the brand, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to execute an exceptional experience and learning environment as well as lead innovation in digital learning and experience. Reporting into the National Retail & Education Director/Manager, they will pioneer new collaborative ways of working between the brands and other tribes, and will be a key part of achieving the business units strategic goals


You will have genuine excitement and love for our brands, luxury retail and exceptional customer experiences to ensure we are winning together. You will be trend led and understand the clear difference between both brands trend priorities and services. You will work primarily on Beauty but you will also be able to flex your style to support the Fragrance division with key Fragrance conferences and non-branded staff.

What are the key responsibilities?

You will…

·       Support the field team in the education and coaching strategies in their stores and teams; develop makeup artistry training modules/materials/point of sale (POS) tools etc. to reach retail/service objectives and deliver bi-annual national Showcases to our BAs

·       Create and develop the education strategy with the Retail & Education Director; evaluate the impact of Education on sales/service and feedback to National Retail Manager and wider GAB and Valentino teams

·       Lead the National and Senior make up artistry for both brands

·       Development of training modules/tools/materials to support and execute the Brand training program

·       Manage and Develop your team through coaching and on the job feedback 


·       Collaborate with Brand Educators from other tribes to ensure Brand integrity and experience is consistent in all tribes

·       Ensure training and engagement initiatives are delivered within budget and on time

·       Manage Education budget for all tools including grooming and hygiene

·       Research and recommend new ways/improvements to delivering training and education and keep up to date with latest trends in education; train and upskill Area Managers on new skills, trend and education modules to develop their coaching skills at point of sale

·       Work in partnership with the Area Manager as well as other functions (Marketing, Retail, PR, DMI) to deliver brand strategy and objectives

·       Analyse the need for trainings to be adapted/changed or new modules created based on the needs of the business

·       Manage and track the BA journey in brand, including all trainings, inductions and engagement

·       Manage and execute seasonal education programmes; delivered on time and on budget

·       Develop Digital, online and social education strategy, leading the innovation in digital education and engagement. Oversee and manage the brand community pages / any digital tools/apps

  • Through in store visits provide detailed feedback to National Retail & Education Director on what’s working and what’s not working

  • Be a One Luxe ambassador and advocate of change and agility
  • Lead on One Retail
  • Identify and react to retail opportunities and challenges to maximize results

·       Support in education to drive understanding and the collection of CRM and VIP data

  • Support the Retail & Education Director/Manager in the development of the Field teams education and coaching skills
  • Provide proactive feedback to internal departments to help drive collaboration between brands & tribes
  • Champion simplicity through ways of working with brands and field teams
  • Collaborate with Multi brand and Fragrance teams to ensure consistency, success and achieve retail targets

You have…

o   Previous sales and team management experience, ideally within beauty industry 

o   Previous training and education experience, ideally within the beauty industry

o   Exceptional training and coaching skills  

o   Experience and understanding of effective sales techniques, customer service and proven ability to drive results 

o   Strong analytical skills 

o   Creative

o   Makeup artistry skills to be able to inspire and develop our Artists

o   Strong capability on Microsoft Office (including Excel) and Outlook Highly organized by nature and excellent attention to detail

o   Strong communication and interpersonal skills

o   The ability to troubleshoot and problem solve

o   Professional, supportive with a positive attitude

o   Digital Pro: Comfortable appearing on camera, the ability to create content for both One retail and social media and can run Virtual masterclasses.
