What’s the role?

As the HR Operations Director you will report directly into the HR Director for L’Oréal UKI and act as the trusted advisor to Senior stakeholders within the business on all matters relating to the employee life-cycle. You will be driven by the challenge of partnering with the business to help achieve the business agenda.

As part of your role you will be able to quickly build strong relationships with all internal and external stakeholders. You will also be able to think on your feet, be solutions focused and are operationally driven with a strategic outlook.

As a member of the HR leadership team you will also pro-actively contribute the Company’s people agenda.

What will I do?

You will be responsible and accountable for:

  • The design and delivery of L’Oréal UKI Payroll and HR Shared Service team strategy
  • Design, develop and implement all of the UKI HR policies and procedures in line with latest legislation to deliver improvements and efficiencies to meet business needs and UKI compliance.
  • of employee benefits such as the cycle to work scheme, pensions and share schemes.
  • Vendor management: Manage the external Payroll and Company Fleet providers.
  • Committee Management: An acive member of the Human Rights, L’Oréal for the Future and GDPR Committees.

·       Team Management: Manage, coach and develop a Payroll and HR Shared Services (‘Ask HR’) team of eight people.

You have:

       Excellent communication and influencing skills with experience of building relationships across an organisation.

       A solutions orientated mindset with the ability to work accurately at pace and cope with ambiguity.

       Experience of managing change - through rapid growth.

       A strong stakeholder management experience and the ability to influence at all levels.

       Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

       Ability to analyse data, draw accurate conclusions and communicate key messages succinctly.

       Strong planning and organisation skills – with an ability to appropriately re-prioritise and change as required to meet deadlines.

       Is risk aware and builds contingency into plans.
