                                        National Education Manager – Kérastase & Shu Uemera Art of Hair

                                                                    Professional Products Division

The Professional Products Division is universally known for exclusively supplying salons and other professional customers with the most advanced technologies in hair, skin and beauty products. The 11 brands within this division are L’Oréal Professionnel, Kérastase, Shu Uemura Art of Hair, Redken, Pureology, Matrix, Biolage, Décleor, Carita, Baxter of California and soon to join the division will be Pulp Riot. Our brands have made us the world leader in professional beauty products and one of the most dynamic places to pursue your career in the UK.

You will: 

Lead the Education Team and develop the  Education strategy for Kerastase & Shu Uemura in the UK & Ireland with a view to inspire stylists across the country on both brands.

•Work on education strategic national plans for Kérastase and Shu and manage portfolio priorities.

•Be reactive to change and manager all team members to deliver hairdressing and business excellence to gain increased market share.

•Be a champion in leadership fostering key changes and support for all teams and functions of the business.

•Focus on account development through education and maximise education creative, product and business programs elevating the brand experience.

L’Oreal Access – focus on increasing usage and adoption of Access amongst the pro community.

•Ensure the continuous development of education by developing, modernising and implementing successful education strategies to re-invigorate the brand.

Mobilise other departments to support education strategies bringing about new ways of thinking and working to re-energise and modernise the sector.

•To become the education champion in line with Kérastase and Shu brand strategy contributing to overall growth of the category using education as a business driver.

•Contribute to overall growth of brand portfolio by expanding the brand awareness and desirability, upgrading Kérastase and Shu distribution and elevating the brand experience.

•Foster collaboration and information amongst the team and brands maximising and defining the education local brand strategy in line with the international brand positioning.

•Recruit, develop and manage team.

•Integrate new team members into the business creating a positive and efficient work environment with team spirit and mutual respect.

•ensure development of expertise and know-how in commercial and education team is up to highest standards for delivery.

•Work in close partnership with the DMI as a Drive Country & support co-development of Education strategies. This will involve advising and working on key projects and NPD up to 2 years ahead of  launch.

•Develop a cross- brand team (at various levels) enabling them to reach their goals and objectives.

•Responsibility for leading the team through digital transformation by having a clear strategy in place to ensure the team have the right resources and tools.

•Collaborate with Commercial Director to align on overall education strategy

You are:
•Able to share achievements in setting objectives and follow up all teams’ standards and performance.
•Able to show Brand Identity & knows Sense of Purpose. While Mastering competition, market, clients, and trends knowledge.
•Natural at cooperating with 360° internal & external stakeholders guaranteeing a consistent customer experience.
•Able to design appropriate Learning solutions for Customer Experience
•Someone who knows the importance of understanding Customer Profile & transmits Customer Centricity
•Experienced in Microsoft Office Packages, namely PowerPoint, Outlook and Word

You have:

•Previous experience in team management
•NVQ level 3 hairdressing qualification
•Ability to Set and achieve targets of number of salons trained.
•Experience in budget management for achieving growth.
•Passion in Service & Retail Education plans aligned with business priorities.
•Experience in animating learning communities with passion.
•Continuously elevated service standards and POS execution according to brand specificities.
•Extensive knowledge and experience of professional retail products
•Strong communication skills at all levels
•Experience of building relationships with clients
•Full driving licence and willing to travel widely as part of the role
•Ability to inspire, motivate, coach and develop people
•Ability to work in an ever changing & demanding environment
•Able to demonstrates empathy
