The Purchasing functions purpose is ‘ We are here to create value by thinking differently, challenging the status quo and supporting the corporate conscience’. Thinking differently to drive the best value on categories spend, challenging status quo to always innovate & looking at new ways of working, Support the Corporate Conscious by managing all risk levers to protect the business through its supply base.

As well as personally managing through projects briefed by your Marketing, Digital & Visual Merchandising colleagues, you will ensure that savings are delivered and agencies spend is monitored on an on-going basis.  You must thrive in an environment where we can challenge the status quo, ensuring that all stakeholders are working towards efficiency and excellence.  You will represent L’Oréal’s exacting standards when it comes to working ethically, only creating sustainable relationships with agencies who share our high standards and also ensuring high standards of supplier relationship management.

Actively contribute to and deliver the purchasing strategy in line with your purchasing manager/director expectations
Assess and review agencies in accordance to L’Oréal’s criteria.
Manage L’Oréal expenditure to ensure best value for money deciding upon most appropriate strategy to deal with various categories of spend & supply
Monitor and manage agencies spend & all governance KPI’s.
Ongoing liaison with key teams to understand future plans to ensure strategy fits and savings  opportunities are well understood and communicated to the business especially by your finance  colleagues.
Representation of UKI requirements within the context of international negotiations, with the ability to  partake in leading some of same negotiations across international teams.
Manage and develop the buyer(s) in your category.

Significant experience in a marketing procurement role.
Experience in team management.
Ability to influence & negotiate internally and externally to deliver the best outcome
Ability to plan and prioritise effectively taking into account deadlines and resources, over multiple projects, ensuring delivery and managing risks
High level of analytics and deep attention to detail
Drive and support the implementation of new solutions/ suppliers
Experience of working proactively, using own initiative and action and results orientated to focus on outcomes and drive actions
A flexible approach to work
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Ability to build good relationships and works effectively in a team
IT literate with advanced excel skills.
