Define and implement medical visit strategy to increase brand recommendations by healthcare professionals. Manage and develop medical field representatives and organization.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define medical visit strategy in line with Division / brand strategy 
  • Analyse prescription potential of targets and the competitive, medical and regulatory environment 
  • Define targets, their coverage and visit frequency 
  • Devise action plans, budgets, samples and validate medical visit tools, for each target, in conjunction with marketing / and staff in charge of medical communications.
  • Pilot performance based on criteria of recommendations and sales and analyse Return On Investment (ROI) 
  • Organise, drive and coach the regional field managers and medical representatives community 
  • Define both network and sectorial field structure, ensuring optimal field team structure and size 
  • ~50% of field time / coaching
  • Define individual objectives 
  • Implement and pilot the reward system for field teams 
  • Accountable for professionalization of medical detailing
  • Makes sure field team has required digital tools (where applicable) and competences to engage with HCPs through all relevant channels (digital and face-to-face) 
  • Ensure both initial and ongoing team training (environment, pathologies, products, communication techniques) and their assessment are carried out
  • Ensure synergies between functions, brands and commercial teams 
  • Ensure training and respect of both internal and external ethical standards regarding relations with health professional

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor Degree holder in Science, Medical Science, Pharmacy, Business/ Marketing or related fields.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience as the Sales Manager / people manager, within healthcare industry, preferably pharmaceutical experiences
  • Prior experience in derma & skincare is not essential, but preferred.
  • MEDICAL DETAILING SKILLS • Targeting and segmentation follow-up • Builds an interactive and customized dialogue with the physician • Treats objections, obtains prescriptions • Creates and updates the physician’s file 
  • SCIENTIFIC KNOWLEDGE • Knows skin and hair physio-pathologies and the medical environment • Knows our products and competition (formulas and patients benefits) • Develops one’s local medical network • Knows regulatory constraints
