GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The MEDICAL AFFAIRS Manager Scientific Services is responsible for positioning SkinCeuticals within the Medical community and amongst KOL’s, as the leading Medical Skincare brand on the market.

 

Key areas of attention include building a reliable and influential group of KOL Doctor’s, elevating the perceived value and scientific credibility of the SkinCeuticals brand and portfolio, and growing brand scientific awareness into a wider circle of medical partners and offices.

 

The position requires a strong scientific acumen, business and creative orientation, as well as strong communication skills.  Ability to work flexible hours, some weekends, and travel up to 25% to support off-site meetings and activities.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Plan and manage Medical Activations that will position SkinCeuticals as the leading medical skincare brand in the medical skincare market. These events / relations should:
  • Reinforce SkinCeuticals as the “Antioxidant Authority” and communicate the background story of the brand – for authenticity and differentiation
  • Direct and manage Scientific Services to include, not limited to:
    • CRM communication of new science and publications
    • Lead Investigator Initiated Trial (IIT) program
    • Lead digital and IIT publication strategy
    • Cross functional support to Sales, Training, PR and Business Development teams
    • Sales training for new hires on science of Skinceuticals brand
  • Direct and manage presence at industry events, not limited to:
    • Trade show activations, digital assets and marketing
    • Booth design, direction and build-out
    • New product launches
    • Reanimation of pillar products
    • Insider Events for our Physician Partners
  • Create and manage an Advisory Board within the US market, to help with the development of business support programs and to provide relevant industry information
  • Compile competitor profiles and build strong understanding of competitor USPs
  • Maintain personal / professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
  • Update Medical Assets including slide presentations, white papers and other scientific data

 

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • PhD/PharmD/MD / MS in Science required
  • Candidate should have at least 1 year of relevant experience in skincare and/or professionally dispensed products including but not limited to a Medical Science Liaison
  • Candidate should have relevant experience and scientific background
  • Must have strong leadership ability - dynamic, flexible, positive attitude, and team spirit
  • Proven track record in building brands within the medical community and amongst KOL’s
  • Strong organization, prioritization skills with a proven ability to multi-task and manage complexity
  • Excellent social, communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, some weekends, and travel up to 25% to support off-site meetings and activities
  • Must have authorization to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent, ongoing basis, without the need for legal sponsorship now or in the future
