About The Role: 

The Social Media Manager at Youth To The People will lead the creation, and execution of all social media efforts to drive brand awareness, engagement, and community growth. This role calls for a creative storyteller who is hands-on with content creation—capturing, editing, and producing social-first assets that resonate across platforms. The ideal candidate is deeply tapped into cultural moments, emerging trends, and real-time conversations, using that insight to inform content and keep the brand at the forefront of relevance. They’ll be responsible for developing and managing cross-platform strategies, maintaining content calendars, analyzing performance metrics, and translating insights into action. Strong communication and collaboration skills are key for aligning with internal teams and presenting ideas and results to stakeholders. 

What You’ll Do 

  • Execute and evolve attention-grabbing content and channel strategies across all owned social platforms, with a primary focus on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube
  • Own day-to-day content creation—planning, capturing, editing, and producing social-first assets that align with brand campaigns, product launches, and cultural moments
  • Maintain and manage a cross-platform content calendar, ensuring timely, relevant, and engaging posts that reflect Youth To The People’s voice and mission
  • Monitor and interpret platform trends, cultural conversations, and internet moments to keep the brand relevant and top of feed
  • Support in identifying and sourcing content from creators, community members, and internal collaborators to diversify storytelling
  • Track and analyze key social metrics to measure performance, surface insights, and make recommendations for optimization
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, creative, education, and product teams to bring integrated campaigns to life
  • Actively engage with and grow the brand’s community through thoughtful interactions, community management, and UGC amplification
  • Contribute to building out scalable systems for publishing, tracking, and evolving content strategy across platforms

Who You Are 

  • A creative thinker and hands-on content creator with a passion for visual storytelling and community building
  • Deeply immersed in the social landscape with an intuitive sense of what’s trending, what’s next, and how to make a brand feel culturally relevant
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to juggle content calendars, last-minute pivots, and cross-functional coordination
  • Comfortable on-set and behind-the-scenes—whether filming a TikTok, briefing a creator, or repurposing user content for Instagram
  • Analytical and curious—confident turning data into insights that inform content decisions and unlock new opportunities
  • A clear communicator and team player who collaborates well across departments and can present ideas and results effectively
  • Passionate about skincare, sustainability, and creating content that connects meaningfully with community

Preferred Qualifications 

  • 3–5 years of experience in social media management, ideally in the beauty, wellness, or lifestyle space
  • Proven experience owning and growing social channels, particularly TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts
  • Strong portfolio of social content—whether self-produced or led in collaboration with creators or internal teams
  • Experience using social tools (e.g., Sprout, Dash Hudson, Later, etc.) for scheduling, analytics, or social listening
  • Bonus: familiarity with basic photo and video editing tools (Adobe, CapCut, Figma, etc.) and a comfort level being on-camera occasionally
