Overview: This position is responsible to drive brand growth by developing innovative strategies and go-to-market, activation plans for both new launches and cores businesses with executional excellence.

In addition, the marketing manager / senior manager primary responsibility includes owning and uncovering deep consumer insights to initiate breakthrough communications and data-driven marketing. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to owning forecasting, performing business & competitive analyses, marketing budget/financial control, and preparing presentations for top management meetings. This position is an opportunity for a proactive, self-motivated individual to be both creative and analytical to help accelerate growth for this innovative and loved brand. 


Job Responsibilities:

Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop analysis and gather information to support plans / strategy development, creating winning frameworks and testing new approaches on activation

Business Management:                                                                      

  • Develop and analyze business data from Nielsen, E-commerce drawing conclusions and making recommendations for business growth
  • Learn, champion and articulate competitive & category knowledge including consumer decision journeys, retailer business cycles, trends
  • Tracking business goals and fundamentals and bringing opportunities for incrementality
  • Meeting and presenting results and plans to upper management

 Financial P&L and Forecasting:                                                        

  • Owning marketing activation budget & cooperating cross-functionally to optimize spend
  • Perform Forecasting and consumption, shipment & inventory analysis
  • Ensure forecasts reflects promotional and media/activation grids
  • Participate in cross functional discussions regarding forecasts

Promotions/Advertising /Media/Social/Influencer:

  • Championing activation: work intimately with agency & internal partners to create breakthrough consumer communications in all touchpoints, being consumer-centric and ROI driven
  • Brief Social leads on influencer & social media strategy and activations, collaborate on execution

New Product Launches:                                                    

  • Work harmoniously with haircare cross-functional teams to develop collaborative strategies and foster a high performing team culture
  • Manage projects and activation on time and proactively identify issues and work across cross-functional team to resolve
  • Manage new product launches plans, activation, retailer and internal engagement


Job Requirements:


  • 4-6+ years of business related experience focused on quantitative data management and project management skills
  • Marketing related experience is highly desired, but not required.  Consumer package goods or beauty industry experience is also highly desired
