Role Summary 


Leads the campus-wide Safety, Health, Environmental and Security programs and focuses on the protection of persons, property and the environment. Promotes continuous improvement processes for improving safety, health, environmental and security aspects (preventative, corrective and developmental actions) for the Fulfillment Center Operations as well as Supply Chain administration. Exhibits strong teamwork, leadership and communication skills and possesses the ability to effectively manage change in a dynamic work environment. 




        • BS Degree in Safety, Engineering, Operations or related field
        • Preferred certification as a CSP Certified Safety Professional
        • 5-7 years of industrial experience preferred with exposure to lean and six sigma methodology
        • Strong project management skills, space planning and facilities management experience
        • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and influence a wide array of personnel from operations employees to senior management, and across supply chain functions
        • Demonstrated ability in leading an operation through a significant transition or transformation; delivering under difficult situations, adapting to new work environments and able to deliver results quickly 
        • Demonstrated understanding of successful change management and principles of design 
        • Proven leadership skills, project management skills, and business acumen 
        • Demonstrate strong analytical and organizational skills 
        • Demonstrate problem-solving skills and an understanding of simplification/improvement methodologies 
        • Demonstrate professional judgment and sound decision-making skills 
        • Maintain a safe work environment and follow all safety procedures 
        • Ability to communicate technical information in a clear and concise manner 
        • Demonstrate 100% responsibility with regard to actions and reactions 
        • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing 
        • Ability to manage in complex situations, often needing to deliver innovative results quickly 
        • Demonstrated success in persuasion, influence, and negotiation skills
        • Computer knowledge – MS Office Suite
        • Obtain LOREAL forklift for supervision course
        • Must be able to adjust work schedule as work demands dictate



Physical Requirements 

        • Occasional lifting up to 30 lbs. required 
        • Travel up to 25% 


Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities 

        • Leads the site E&H programs and continuous improvement projects, including animating employee engagement, ensuring deployment of best practices, with a focus on ergonomics and automation
        • Lead the site Environmental programs including, stormwater, waste management including hazardous waste, recycling, water, energy and sustainability projects
        • Oversees the EHS&S Training Program
        • Trains and leads employees in risk assessment, incident investigation and effective post incident follow up action to prevent reoccurrence
        • Oversees the L’Oreal contractor safety program including contractor approval using ISN, on-site intervention by External Contractors, Contractor Safety Program, Contractor Training Program, and Orientation, and Permit System. Routinely audits the compliance of contractors and contract givers using the Daily Prevention Plan.
        • Manages contractor safety for new projects and changes at the site
        • Maintains required paperwork such as OSHA 300, 300A and 301 forms to remain in compliance with federal and state law
        • Ensures that ISO 45001 Certification requirements are me as well as compliance reporting
        • Anticipates, distills and organizes implementation of new regulations. Ensure compliance with local, state, federal and international standards (i.e. OSHA, RCRA) 
        • Responsible for month-end reporting to corporate for both EH & S
        • Drive management reviews to ensure Group compliance and knowledge sharing across Fulfillment Center network 
        • Auditing all EHS&S programs to ensure compliance and effectiveness 
        • Act in a way consistent with all L’Oreal required policies and procedures that could pose a negative impact on the employee and or company
        • Manage budget of $500k-$1M, including consumables, services and capital expenditure
        • Oversees the site security program, including site access control, alarm systems, and video surveillance
        • Leads the On-site Security team and act as liaison with Corporate Security team
