Located in: Minneapolis, Minnesota 

Mission and defining characteristics:

  • The ideal candidate will have high energy and a focus area in identifying and creating new business solutions through the joy of storytelling with insights
  • A STRONG analytical team player who collaborates well with others & is obsessed with uncovering insights through data
  • Highly resourceful and overcomes obstacles with a sense of urgency
  • An avid learner who is curious and creative and can quickly analyze data to find valuable insights for the category, brand and guest that lead to action for driving profitable growth
  • Understands the importance of creating insights that lead to both online and in-store recommendations around the sales fundamentals of the 4P’s
  • Ownership of weekly business reporting and shareouts to NY leadership
  • Member of an OMNI cross-functional team in Minneapolis and New York that includes sales, marketing, supply chain, shopper, and finance
  • Develops business opportunities and strategies to grow brand within category and leads all internal and external meeting prep with data assessment
  • Category expert for the Brand and competitive products at a specific customer
  • Leads execution of all account specific events for the brand, such as, Target Circle and Displays.

Main tasks:

Customer Developer

  • Hold total accountability for assessing weekly sales by product groups and segmentations to find weekly opportunities to drive the business
  • Build high functioning reporting to validate data and move quickly from insight to action to achieve ambitious objectives
  • Leverage insights and validate assumptions to win the guest and drive brand love
  • Monitor weekly inventory opportunities and ensure positive guest experience by maintaining OOS by item

Team Member

  • Help support development of more junior team members (e.g., BA)
  • Drive the business as key member, by collaborating with multifunctional team and leveraging all insights to drive brand growth. Develops commercial insights from all reporting needed to run the business

Category Support

  • Develops opportunities from top door analysis, new item and hero item evaluation, JBP tracking
  • Reviews weekly run rates to understand emerging trends and inventory needs
  • Assortment recommendations for upcoming transitions and revisions
  • Is the expert on all category analysis for own brand and competitive brands and overall category

Results Driver

  • Owns the analysis of account specific events, gross to net, shipments, retail sales and new items sales
  • Track sales and forecasting and proactively identifies actions in alignment with NAM to address gaps and opportunities
  • Supports NAM objectives and growing O+O (Online and In-Store) share of business for the category

Main interfaces:

  • Director of National Accounts
  • Support field teams: Operations and Supply, Commercial Finance, Cat Dev, Customer Marketing, et al.
  • Centralized support: Brand Shopper Marketing, Sales Ops

Measures of success:

  • Deliver sales target and brand sales fundamentals for category incl. sell in/sell out, distribution points and ROI
  • Achievement of top strategic priorities for relevant category
  • Market category penetration


  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a customer-facing role
  • Proven knowledge of retailer strategies and objectives
  • Strong knowledge of customer strategy and key levers as well as competitors
  • Deep knowledge of beauty and personal care, specifically for given category and retailer data/syndicated data
  • Detailed Orientated individual who can rigorously analyze data and communicate with passion and style to drive engagement
