Regional Sales Manager & Brand Advocate 

Home base location: Dallas or Houston Texas

Summary

To influence patient/client recommendations in professional and retail accounts while maintaining the #1 Cleansing Device Used & Recommended by U.S. Dermatologists claim. Additionally, the Regional Brand Advocate and Sales Manager is responsible for educating medical and retail sales partners to meet sales results within the designated territory.

 

Objective

The Clarisonic Regional Brand Advocate and Sales Manager will be responsible for

  1. Building brand advocacy and sales recommendation through professional medical/spa detailing, developing strong relationships with strategic partners and Key Opinion Leaders.
  2. Driving retail sales revenue to meet sales plan in assigned retailer doors during designated Sephora/Ulta key moments through co-selling, educating retail associates and recruiting/training/managing a team of freelance sales associates.
 

Responsibilities

Sales

  • Work closely with retailer store management to develop partnerships and plans that support the achievement of sell through sales objectives
  • Successfully prioritize and execute promotional calendar initiatives
  • Advise sales leadership on key market insights and changes to the territory
  • Build and maintain the brand’s image with each account, including modifying retail displays to meet brand merchandising guidelines
  • Consistently achieve all stated sales goals, overall quotas, new product launch targets and promotional objectives

Advocacy

  • Develop strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders, strategic accounts, high profile doctors, aestheticians, key influencers and top professional accounts in assigned territory
  • Identify new  Key Opinion Leaders that can help drive brand advocacy in assigned territory
  • Manage strategic professional partnerships at both the corporate and individual location
  • Identify and attend local professional tradeshows and local account events
  • Recruit, onboard, educate, and schedule a freelance sales team for retailer key moments
  • Work closely with Clarisonic Education to ensure consistent brand messaging.
  • Educate accounts to drive brand advocacy and sales
 

Administrative

  • Create and execute a strategic call cycle schedule to meet business priorities
  • Approve freelance sales team invoices and review ROI as needed
  • Communicate regularly with FSVP regarding territory needs and priorities
  • Effectively manage T&E and freelance funds to achieve territory goals
  • Make deadlines for all requests including but not limited to: schedules, expense reports and event/trade show recaps

Key Performance Indicators

  • KPIs are designed to support a dynamic business environment and drive focus to the immediate business needs (such as new product launches, product mix account activity, etc.) They may include sales, advocacy and/or admin responsibilities.
  • KPIs will based upon measurable SMART goals set by Territory and will be determined by leadership team.
  • KPI’s are determined at the sole discretion of the Company and may be revised as necessary.
  • The Company will normally communicate KPIs prior to the applicable calendar period.      
 

Required Competencies

  • Entrepreneurially spirited; business oriented and goal driven
  • Flexibility and adaptability in an newly developed and evolving business environment
  • Ability to understand and communicate clinical and scientific product data to wide range audience that will include doctors as well as retail personnel
  • Strong technical/clinical, retail and business acumen
  • Ability to influence prescribing habits and professional recommendations by medical professionals
  • Knowledge of dermatology products, skin conditions and treatments. Ability to communicate clinical efficacy based on skin condition and/or treatments – medical and spa
  • Ability to adjust presentation content based on recommender responsibilities (i.e. doctor, aesthetician, freelancer, store associate)
  • Ability to understand and communicate product benefits focusing on beauty/non-clinical
  • Build strong strategic sales partnerships with retail partners (Store Mgmt., Beauty Advisors, etc.) and professional recommenders and influencers
 

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in medical, professional and retail sales environment preferred
  • Proven and consistent sales results
  • Proven ability in building professional relationships, strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to self-manage and work autonomously
  • Strong technical/clinical aptitude
  • Keen analytical sense and ability to understand financial concepts.
  • Strong negotiation and facilitation skills.  Excellent selling and presentation skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and bring creativity to the organization.
  • Ability to swiftly adapt to a changing environment to meet unexpected demands effectively.
  • Strong computer and software skills
  • Valid driver’s license with clean record and ability to pass complete background check
  • Must be able to travel 60%
  • Must be able to work key account moments as required that occasionally include nights and weekends
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis
