L’Oreal International Distribution (LID) is a new go-to-market, multibrand division of L’Oreal, focused on the internationalization of brands primarily working with national/regional distributors, direct-to-retail partners or via eCommerce. We have an opportunity for the position of LID Regional Manager. In this role, the Regional Manager will have the strategic responsibility to drive the LID brand portfolio strategy across the Indian Sub-Continent, covering India, Nepal, Bangladesh & Sri Lanka (new territories could be added in the future).. The location of the job will be Delhi / Mumbai.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Business Development Director (direct reporting), based in Singapore
  • Develop, monitor and manage a portfolio of accounts/distributors/retailers, in accordance with the vision of the division from strategization to implementation
  • Design and develop the go-to-market strategy of the brands, thus ensuring go-to-market excellence
  • Along with the partners, create, monitor and execute the annual business plan/trade plan, to achieve desired results of sell-in, sell-out, market share, stock-on-hand, with an eye on profitability
  • Lead and participate in the discussions with partners on brand management, launches, trade plans and animations, space & locations, while understanding consumer behaviour, usage and attitudes and market trends
  • Along with LID Marketing, develop, implement and monitor the marketing, promo, animation calendar of the brands, ensuring precise implementation from partners, with a steady and persistent eye on quality
  • Determine the eCommerce strategy of the brands with a sustainable approach to increase weight of business. Create and maintain a promo calendar, product exclusivities, cross selling mechanisms, data ownership along with the eCommerce partner
  • Visits customers and retail regularly to help develop the business. Develop excellent relationships at all levels, with appointed partners/distributors/retailers.
  • Work close with all internal functions of LID viz, marketing/ finance/ supply chain to ensure strategic priorities are in line and goals are met

Key Competencies:

  • 5+ years previous experience within a similar role/environment
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a keen eye for brand management and digital savviness
  • Strong comfort levels with quantitative analysis and qualitative measures
  • Strong collaborative skills to work with all key stakeholders, internal and external
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, natural ability to build strong business relationships
  • Problem solving skills and contingency planning mindset to operate in a proactive mode
  • A willingness to own the strategic direction whilst maintaining a passion for grassroots
  • An agile mindset, comfort in operating in a fast-paced and ever-changing dynamic regional environment

Physical Demands (e.g., % travel):

  • 25-30% travel needed
  • Regular client and store visits
