Senior Manager, Revenue Growth Management - Luxe Sales COE

The Revenue Growth Management (RGM) team at L’Oréal USA is an analytics group within the company’s Luxe Division that provides consumer-centric insights to help inform the Division’s pricing, pack size assortment and promotional strategy. RGM acts as a strategic consultant to brands like Lancôme, IT Cosmetics, Yves Saint Laurent, Kiehl's, Urban Decay, and Giorgio Armani to help understand market and consumer dynamics and drive profitable growth. Common work includes consulting with upper management on strategic business decisions, working with marketing agencies on discrete choice modeling (Conjoint), performing pricing elasticity modeling, measuring the ROI of mark-down promotions, and creating dashboards and tools to help drive business decisions.

 

Responsibilities

  • Oversee research (conjoint analyses) with marketing agencies in determining optimal pricing and package sizing to maximize sales and profit
  • Creating and maintaining category-specific scenario planning tools for pricing
  • Building price elasticity models and reviewing the impact of historical changes in Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price (MSRP); using insights from analysis to inform future decisions
  • Tracking category trends and competitor price strategies to inform the need for pricing changes
  • Measuring incrementality of new pack size, brand and/or product launches
  • Measuring the Return on Investment of mark-down / price promotions
  • Ensuring implementation of RGM guidelines at brand level
  

Requirements

  • Analytically minded with a focus on solving complex business problems through data analysis
  • Understands how data is generated and ability to consider and work through data limitations
  • Comfort in presenting to senior leadership
 

Background and Experience

  • 4+ years of experience in market research, insights, commercial strategy, and/or marketing, preferably in the consumer products industry or at a marketing insights agency
  • Experience generating insights and recommendations using large datasets and building optimization models for decision making
  • Experience creating new data-driven tools and methodologies and influencing cross-functional stakeholders in adopting new processes
  • Educational background in Data Analytics/Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Marketing, or related field
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with business analytics and visualization tools such as Tableau and/or Power BI
  • Nice to have:
       
    • Experience working on a pricing or revenue management focused team
    • Programming experience with Python or R
    • Knowledge/experience with discrete choice modeling and consumer research
    • Experience applying machine learning to making business decisions
