Inside L’Oréal’s Research & Innovation Division, Application Domain is responsible for transforming scientific discoveries, technological inventions, and new consumer aspirations into innovation prototypes that exceed consumer perceived performance. The key missions are to identify and develop innovative technologies for hair, skin, or makeup applications. In Application Domain, you'll work in a dynamic, team-oriented lab environment, where you'll interact with cross-functional groups globally for new product development, product concept testing, and smooth transition of the technology into our Development Laboratories.

As part of a new way to simply research worldwide in L’Oreal and work with a close network of scientists worldwide within R&I, the Photoprotection Application Domain works to discover and study new technologies in sun care and bring them to life as new products for our consumers.  The work within this unique field of research relies on an understanding of fundamental optics, how UV light interacts with skin and formulations, an understanding of regulations, and knowledge about formulation process and technology.

We are currently seeking a talented and innovative Senior Scientist to join our Photoprotection Application Domain team located at our Clark, New Jersey facility for Research and Innovation. In this role, you will conduct fundamental research with a worldwide network of teams, communicate with internal and external collaborators and fellow scientists, and translate this research into the next breakthroughs in sun care technology!
