Senior Analyst, Finance

Professional Products Division

 Job Summary:

This position is responsible for brand P&L management and reporting of the Advertising & Promotional Budgets for MATRIX & BIOLAGE. A key portion of the role involves preparing various financial schedules of Actuals, Budgets and Trends to support the brand controller. In doing so, the Sr Analyst will work across various financial systems (Compass, Passport and SAP). In addition, he/she will partner directly with brand leadership, including general management and heads of marketing & education to clearly articulate business results and construct Budgets/Trends.

Base responsibilities include execution and ownership of the monthly close process with a focus on A&P management/reporting, constructing Budgets/Trends, and identification of risks & opportunities vs the latest plan. The Sr Analyst will work with the brand controller to articulate the holistic view of the total brand’s A&P investment to the leadership team. In addition, he/she will lead adhoc analysis and financial modeling around the decision making of brand spend (i.e. ROI analysis, spend prioritization). This analysis will focus on growth within existing channels of distribution as well as the Digital transformation/acceleration of the brand’s portfolio.

Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Own the monthly close and actual reporting process through the utilization of core financial platforms (Compass & SAP)
  • Build Budgets and Trends through collaboration with marketing/ICC leadership team and brand controller
  • Analyze monthly business results vs plan and develop robust commentary on variances
  • Present monthly A&P reporting to brand leadership, while identifying and making recommendations for areas of improvement
  • Collaborate with G2N, Development, and Digital A&P controllers in order to understand all areas impacting the brand’s A&P spend
  • Work on special projects to increase the efficiency of business driver investments
  • Provide detailed analysis and financial modeling to help the team maximize brand awareness and conversion
Job Requirements:
  • 1-3 years of experience in finance or accounting
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Proficient/advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, multi-tasking and communication skills
  • Strong business partnering skills
  • Must have the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment
  • Must demonstrate strong attention to detail and organization skills to manage heavy peaks of workload
  • Ability to make sense of and organize large amounts of data in a clear, concise and efficient manner
  • Must be able to travel to the New York office periodically (~20-30% of the time)
