Senior Manager - Insourcing

Job Summary:

  • Create, animate, and maintain plant panier showcasing site capabilities, formats, & capacities
  • Assess CM (Contract Manufacturers) catalog & propose strategy to streamline & internalize external formats
  • Partner with OMA (Open Manufacturing) team to transfer appropriate formats between plants and OMA
  • Propose catalog rationalization for formats when minimal business justification to continue
  • Optimize CM catalogue agility
  • Collaborate with Divisional teams on Make and Buy Strategy
  • Identify new product launches that can be launched in-house
  • Oversee launch management for all Acquisition Brand launches
  • Foster strategic partnership with Acquisition Brand Stakeholders and act as single-point liaison for plant / acquisition brand
  • Interface with Acquisition Brand teams about all supply chain topics related to Service, Inventory, Agility, Launch
  • Actively participate in plant trends / budget discussions and understand how to influence financial results through unit acquisition
  • Participate in new product costing exercises for acquisition brands
  • Host Acquisition Teams In-Plant & Create Pathway for future insourcing

Required Experience/Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Supply Chain discipline required.
  • 5 + years management experience in a high performance manufacturing facility - cosmetics industry preferred.
  • Strong safety orientation and demonstrates high regards for safety culture.
  • Proficient in basic Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and other database programs that are used to organize data
  • Possess strong communication skills and have the ability to follow through on assigned tasks in order to be an effective representative of the company to outside vendors and contacts
  • Ability to perform in a busy, changing, multi-tasking work environment while maintaining professionalism and composure
  • Requires ability to physically inspect property (or properties)
  • Diplomatic style with professional, positive, friendly manner; practical, “roll up your sleeves” team player work style and positive “can do” attitude
  • Self-starter with demonstrated initiative, judgment, decisiveness, confidence and discretion
  • High level of professionalism and sound judgment in dealing with senior managers; effectively builds relationships and resources at all levels of the organization

Working Conditions:

  • Production machinery may produce noise levels that exceed SHE’s action level.  Employees are provided with and are required to wear personal hearing protection devices in these areas.
  • Proper PPE is provided with and required to wear safety glasses, hairnets, uniform smock, steel-toed shoes (depending on specific department requirements.)
