CMI VP USA LL_ MISSION & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

CMI Vice President places the consumer at the heart of the brand strategic development, delivering and driving consumer & market intelligence strategy into a growth strategy for the business. The individual is a strategic partner for the Global Brand (DMI) teams based in the US, responsible for the creation of transversal consumer insight, co-creating the brand plans & mixes and developing an insight & research roadmap for the brands and categories.
 

STRATEGY

  • Fuel consumer and data centricity into the brand plans and innovations, co-creating the mixes with marketing, ensuring insight led innovation. Upskill teams by sharing consumer insights and business intelligence expertise, leveraging a wide range of sources.
  • Strategize and prioritize the insight & research roadmap (plan, budget/resources & activation) selecting key consumer insight topics according to the needs of the Brand Status & Plan, the Marketing teams, the launch retroplan and in respect of the allocated budget from Global DMI.
  • Highlight strategic innovation & growth opportunity recommendations to LL management and DMI teams, by creating 360 transversal learnings, data analysis, consumer insights and trends on category key topics
  • Can develop creative solutions and design custom methodologies that address a specific strategic objective.

 

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

  • Agree & deliver the research plan on the brands/countries for the strategic launch plan
    • Agree research plan & budget per Brand with DMI Leaders
    • Execute & activate the agreed research plan (i.e. agency proposition, hot debrief/workshop, global analysis/connecting dots into action oriented recommendations)
    • Communicate, promote, influence high quality recommendations at the right level in the organization to impact business decisions
    • Manage the budget in cooperation with DMI in Paris
  • Anticipate and prepare key meetings: prepare discussed topics, align with involved DMI CMI & Country/Zone teams
  • Participate to transversal projects LL CMI : SOP, Advocacy, Customer Experience, 360 Strategic market analysis ….
  • Keep a constant connection to the consumers by seeing/speaking to consumers, following trends, liaising with CMI community from DMI, Division, Zones, and PPE and prospective.

 

PARTNER MANAGEMENT

  • Collaborate with Global Directors of CMI DMI LL to align research plan & budget
 

TEAM MANAGEMENT

  • Be an active promoter of the Simplicity principles 
  • Ensure the L’Oréal ethic principles are respected

REQUIREMENTS

BS Degree with in-depth business knowledge and experience.  A minimum of 7-10 years and solid CMI progressive technical mastery.
