As our Vice President, Marketing, you will be reporting to the SalonCentric US President and be leading a diverse and dynamic team in the National Operations Center, St. Petersburg, Florida. In this high-impact, high-profile role, you will be responsible for leading the strategic vision, development, and execution of all marketing programs, including the creative organization, promotional planning calendars, channel marketing & merchandising materials for all SalonCentric channels including Street, Store, Digital, Education and State/RDA, overall store design and monthly marketing publications. The VP has overall responsibility for creating a compelling customer experience through innovative programs and impactful materials to grow SalonCentric sales and build loyalty to SalonCentric, leveraging print and digital communications vehicles to promote SalonCentric events and identify different levers to drive traffic and grow average order value.  This role collaborates heavily with the Digital Marketing, E-Commerce, Store Development, Store Visual and Omni Operations teams to ensure consistent themed branding and events, focusing on full support of our omnichannel brand vision.

This position requires extensive cross-functional collaboration with all internal and external business stakeholders including but not limited to Store Operations, Store Visual Merchandising, Store Development, Education, Street, E-Com, Digital, Promotional Planning, Creative Services, Category Management, and Brand Marketing teams. The ability to bring innovative ideas, collaborate and quickly identify solutions is imperative in SalonCentric’s fast paced developing and evolving business environment. 

As the lead point person for marketing services, the VP - Marketing will participate in overarching SalonCentric activities such as branding for the SalonCentric National Sales Conference, expanding the digital footprint in stores and online, customer loyalty program, welcome kits for all customer groups, presentations to executive and senior management, and creating a built-to-last customer centric relationship with internal and external customers across all touchpoints. The VP – Marketing is responsible for managing the entire Marketing team, including employee development, structure, and succession planning. The VP will manage the entire Marketing financial process, own and contribute to broader P&L, sales targets and profitability of the business.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define SalonCentric’s sense of purpose and distinctive positioning in the market.
  • Own the brand patrimony, guarantee the brand identity: ensure that all actions are in line with the sense of purpose while nourishing the brand.
  • Define the strategic directions and the 3-year marketing plan: product portfolio, strategic innovations and growth of pillar-products.
  • Create an integrated, engaging and consistent brand experience by taking a lead on marketing mix strategies (IMC/360/Digital/Retail)
  • Develop the communication strategy for the brand portfolios (imagery, digital, point of sale) consistent with the brand’s sense of purpose.
  • Build, develop and manage strong and talented teams. Inspire them and develop their expertise and know-how.
  • Define clear messages to present to top management and accompany the teams in the preparation of meetings - Steer the budget (global forecast, value analysis, brand profitability, development costs, etc.)
  • Define and guide the Retail Marketing strategy for the brand, to guarantee the best customer experience and relationship to ensure continued worldwide growth for the brand.
  • Lead Planning, Production and Delivery of SalonCentric Marketing Materials
  • Conceive and Implement Promotional Events & Sales
  • Influence Brand Partners’ Marketing Strategies & Collateral
  • Optimize Effectiveness of Marketing Initiatives

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 10+ years Retail Marketing or related experience. Additional experience in visual merchandising, brand management, advertising, and digital marketing desirable.
  • Strategic creative thinker who can translate marketing vision into impactful and innovative programs that continually “surprise and delight” our customers while also achieving strategic objectives & priorities.
  • Strong project management skills and an ability to direct cross-functional team to achieve successful execution on time, within budget and in line with strategic direction. Must be solutions-oriented and persistent in the face of objections and obstacles.
  • History of building strong cross-functional relationships and influencing other departments to achieve results.
  • Excellent aesthetic sensibility and strong understanding of retail copywriting.  Able to provide clear creative & copy direction to Creative Services.  Success in demanding quality creative execution by providing constructive feedback to enhance impact and effectiveness of communication.
  • Ability to manage a team of direct reports and indirect reports.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, with a preference for Marketing, Advertising, Retail Management majors.
  • Some travel is required for visits and meetings.
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S.A. now and in the future without sponsorship
