, is the premiere distributor in the United States of salon professional products. Through its hundreds of stores, national field sales force and sub-distribution network, SalonCentric promotes the finest professional beauty brands and educates stylists on the latest products and trends. 


Position Overview: 
SalonCentric is ambitious adapting its physical distribution network. The new strategy requires excellent collaboration with 3PL providers both in terms of operational performance and IT reliability. This role will be responsible for managing and continuously improving effective organizational, procedural, and technical elements of our distribution & fulfillment centers and their capabilities. Critical success criteria for the role are delivering on our customers’ needs which are high order fill rate, delivery time click to possession 2 days or less, mis-picks less than 1%, damages less than 1%. Achieving these objectives all the while delivering the required financial performance in terms of cost per unit, stock accuracy, and anti-diversion compliance.  

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • The strategic objective of the role will be to optimize the flow of qualitative and quantitative information between SalonCentric and 3P, thereby improving replenishment and distribution processes and making recommendations with regard to its supply chain processes for SalonCentric products (lead times, on-time receipt/shipment, inventory accuracy, shrink and damages and end-to-end Supply Chain collaboration).
  • Tactically, this position will coordinate replenishment and distribution model pilot, set up and post go live execution for all omni channels.
  • Leads a team of one 3P Dir and future Analyst as required and supported by business needs and growth. 
  • In addition to pursuing technical innovation to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of information and physical flows, the individual will also be responsible for attracting, developing and upgrading talent to build a best-in-class replenishment, distribution and execution function. 
  • Manage the daily performance of the parties’ respective roles and responsibilities under the Master Service Agreement and associated Scope of Work. Over the next two years, the number of locations will scale from 1 to 7 sites throughout the US. 
  • Ensures stakeholder alignment, optimizes supply chain efficiencies.
  • Reports updates to the Executive Steering Committee with respect to continuous improvement and quality assurance measures, proposals for updates to Service Levels, reviewing financial performance, customer satisfaction survey and audit results.
  • Expected travel is 20% between company HQ in NY/NJ/FL and fulfillment and distribution centers.

 

Key Qualifications + Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or equivalent with a minimum of 7+ years 
  • Prior experience with onboarding and integrating 3PL partners, including ramp up, hyper care, and managing to contract KPIs
  • eCommerce and/or Retail environment experience is a plus, but not required
  • Demonstrated project management abilities and experienced in implementation of software solutions, including Agile Methodology and Scrum
  • Worked with multiple, cross-functional business area managers and stakeholders and influenced resolution of conflicting objectives
  • Has been in key leadership role in successfully delivering business process and system solutions
  • Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills to devise solutions to complex problems
  • Excellent communication skills; Able to effectively present complex solutions to technical and non-technical staff at all levels of the organization, across multiple cultures/geographies
  • Collaborative and effective at building consensus across the organization
  • Innovation – questions the status quo, thinks outside of the box, and has the ability to implement solutions independently 
  • Manages complexity and demonstrates entrepreneurship – takes initiative, makes decisions independently, and able to manage changing priorities
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor people and strong ability to influence 
  • Highly organized and proven track record in meeting deadlines
