What You Will Do:
This is a Sourcing role at it’s fundamentals where you will be driving our partnerships through business contracts, Intellectual Property ownership, and building the right relationships of trust for our partners to share innovations with L’Oréal.
Strategically, the focus is on key partnership collaboration with our ecosystems to fuel solutions to our Innovation Roadmaps, specifically in compliance with the group’s objectives towards L'OREAL FOR THE FUTURE.
This role is pivotal. It is instrumental to be the cornerstone of our External & Internal Ecosystems. The need is to create powerful relations to investigate, integrate and energize innovation for L’Oréal products. The scope begins at working with our internal teams and collaborating with the zone’s extensive ecosystems of suppliers, industrial partners, academics, inventors, and startups
Ultimately, our collective mission is to successfully create innovative products that deliver an emotionally charged experience, the best product performance, and fuel L’Oréal business.
The role is expected to be dynamic, engaged at all levels, innovative, able to work in a fast environment and ready to shape an efficient and modern team.
Key contact and leader to manage, develop and animate external ecosystems
Direct contact with the Open Inno ecosystem and an extensive overview of our needs
Drive the innovation roadmaps per category and have a visibility on projects identified at the “Portfolio Management” level
With our global partners, co-construct our Open Innovation strategy
Maintain a high-level connection with the Open Innovation global community
Sourcing strategy of each packaging category, develop and contribute to the global vision
Evaluate and coach suppliers, actively participate and contribute to Business Reviews
Identify internal needs and scout external disruptive innovation solutions
Implement appropriate contracts to develop long term relationships with partners
Discover new suppliers: Identify potential partners outside of the overall cosmetics industry
Evaluate and integrate new/potential partners for compliance with L’Oréal guidelines
Ensure suppliers fully manage their innovation Intellectual Property (FTO, patents, etc)
Capture all technical details, timing, and industrial capacity at scale from suppliers
Key support for innovation engineers: establishing framing, pre-costing, and IP management
Generate visits, internal shows/Innovation Days and meetings with key suppliers
Participate in external expositions followed by presentation of findings report
Create an efficient network with local sourcing, Patent Intelligence and legal department
Organize and participate with external challenge projects to universities
Create, identify, and implement process improvements
Up to 25% travel to domestic and/or international suppliers and plants

Maintain the highest of ethics to ensure partner’s IP is respected
Ability to track and clearly report KPIs for new suppliers, projects, transformation rate, and signed contracts
What We Are Looking For:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administrative management
8+ years of proven experience in Sourcing / Procurement management & new product development; preferably in the cosmetics, consumer goods or related field.
Contract experience: NDA, MDA,etc
French, Portuguese, and/or Spanish Language skills are a plus
Strong PC skills; MS Project, PowerPoint and Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to deal effectively with all levels of a diverse and global organization and supplier base
Flexible approach to problem solving and ability to present compelling vision to gather senior management’s support of the team’s ideas
Awareness of technical elements necessary for the development and commercialization of new products, with an understanding of timing and financial impacts
Good self-management and organizational skills to manage documentation, materials, and information for rapidly changing priorities
Curiosity, creativity and out of the box thinking
Ability to connect and motivate teams to effectively establish and deliver to project timelines
Clearly communicate and support the team vision and influence the team members to achieve individual and department goals and objectives
Partnering and leading effectively across different functions and levels. Establishing strong relationships built on trust, collaboration, solid technical knowledge and business acumen.
