Seeking an exceptional, experienced and innovative Medical Communications Manager to manage the multichannel medical communication plan in line with the medical strategy. The objective is to encourage recommendations by healthcare professionals and develop the scientific reputation of our brands and division across the UKI. 

La Roche-Posay, CeraVe, Vichy and Skinceuticals are well respected brands in the Dermatology community across the UK and Ireland with clinically proven efficacy in supporting patients suffering from conditions such as eczema, acne, photo dermatoses and sensitive allergic skin, including side-effects from oncology treatment.

This role is unique in offering exposure to the international medical brand strategy and medical key opinion leaders (KOLs) in Dermatology whilst providing the opportunity to develop UKI specific communication strategy in reflection to the UKI medical vision.  You will work extensively with cross functional teams and lead the execution of medical communications supported by the Medical Relations and Detailing team.

You will

Be responsible for execution of the UKI Medical communication strategy in line with the brand and medical strategy and the international vision.

Support the development of medical detailing materials: working in a team to develop the material suitable for brand standards and directed to healthcare professionals.

Medical Events: Deliver best-in-class, messaging presence & brand experience at medical conferences and events.

Support the growth on owned medical websites: Support the Multichannel Manager to increase the growth of owned online platforms through content creation in line with the medical campaigns.

Support the teledermatology project together with the medical relation team to reach new opportunities and continue our growth with existing platforms.

Support the NHS listing application as agreed with the medical director vision and medical relation team.

Lead Medical Ad-Boards: Undertake regular reviews through ad boards and attend regular field visits to assess impact of materials and take learnings from these to optimize our comms strategy and messaging

Lead Claims sign-off working closely with the legal & scientific / CMI team to sign off the strongest, fully compliant brand and product claims that resonate with the medical audience. 

Support and manage the execution of clinical and Observational studies.

Be the ACD scientific and medical expert to other functions & work closely with the training team.

Be responsible for Message coherence working closely with medical relations, marketing, medical detailing, PR, commercial and digital to guarantee the coherence of messages across all touch points. B2B, B2C and B2B2C.

Manage and coach the medical communications intern to collaboratively deliver medical Communications KPIs, on time, and on budget

You have

Experience preferably within a fast-paced consumer driven business / pharma environment
Educated with a degree in life science or equivalent.

Scientific & Health Care knowledge – capacity to understand and translate scientific/medical language & healthcare systems in UK and Ireland.

Digital orientation – experience with digital communication campaigns including strategy, CRM and GDPR
Highly entrepreneurial mindset – autonomy, strategic thinking and collaboration are critical to drive our brands.

Vision – able to create and develop a strategy, taking the lead on motivating the wider business.

Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and excellent presentation skills, able to influence and inspire any audience.

Know how to manage the complexity in terms of number stakeholders, projects, timelines and clarity of message.
 
Resilience and flexibility – the ability to adapt to dynamic business and market demands, overcoming challenges and driving success in an innovate way.

Creativity – able to create innovative, cost-effective solutions, to drive the best ROI whilst maintaining brand equity.

Strong analytical skills including advanced competency with CRM, and Microsoft office programs.
A strong sensitivity to the dermatological skincare market, with a keenness to develop understanding for the different category dynamics, upcoming trends in this field and the latest competitor activity.
