What You Will Do:

Directs all activities of the Flows Department including receiving, shipping, warehouse, capital projects, destructions, and departmental spending. Liaison between the factory and On-Site Contract Manufacturing to ensure the safety, quality, and production plan of late-stage differentiation units.  Collaborates with and supports the various plant operations groups.

Responsibilities

  • ·       Sitting, running, and attending meetings

  • ·   Set direction, follow up, review KPI’s, prioritize, review labor hours with direct reports to ensure the most pressing issues are accomplished first and we are achieving our goals in the areas of Safety, Moves, Inventory, on time receiving, destructions, and shipping 

  • ·    Perform and lead safety observations, safety training, gemba walks, and Mesurs.

  • ·       Respond, communicate with , and provide support to the UP’s, MSC, and the Distribution Center  

  • ·       Coaching and mentoring team members

  • ·    Manage and initiate forklift training throughout the facility

  • ·       Managing current and initiate future capital projects in the flows area

What We Are Looking For: 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum five (5) to eight (8) years’ experience in a warehouse, logistics, production or supply chain environment with history of managing, supervising and leading a team.  
  • Must have had experience managing a fleet of powered industrial trucks.
  • Must work well in a fast-paced environment and be able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Must demonstrate excellent people management skills including the ability to develop a team of individuals capable of producing extraordinary results.
  • Must demonstrate the L’Oréal competencies including, but not limited to, creative problem solving, decision making, achievement orientation, cultivation of talent, and strong communication skills.

Judgment and Decision Making

  • Decisions made by the Director of Flows can directly impact Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Environment and Morale. They must make these decisions with only intermittent involvement from Supervision based on the knowledge gained from their trainings.
  • Safety: Fully supports an interdependent safety culture and works proactively to accomplish the safety mission in the plant of Zero Accidents.
  • Quality: Supports and embraces the quality mission of the plant.
  • Delivery: The ability of the Director of Flows to meet the production demands ensures that our customers receive our products on time.
  • Cost: The Director of Flows coordinates activities according to the standards to ensure that cost to produce is aligned with the financials.

  • Morale: Must be an actively engaged employee exhibiting a positive attitude and a focus on teamwork to achieve best in class results
