What You Will Do:

Drive Operational Excellence by ensuring the department is delivering customer service excellence to Human Resources Business Partners, COE (Centre of Excellence) team members, and employees by keeping a best-in-class service approach.  You will handle the intake and aid of sensitive cases that may involve policy or ethics violations, non-compliance with established expectations leading to performance issues, or other employee issues requiring counsel.

 

This role will provide support on incoming calls, emails, and/or cases relating to the case types mentioned below.  This role will have a strong partnership with counsel and advise employees, HR (Human Resources) Business Partners, or people leaders on escalated cases on employee relations matters such as ADA Accommodations, complaints and concerns, policy interpretation, performance management and progressive discipline.   The selected candidate will handle ensuring proper and efficient process documentation to drive process consistency and reduce ambiguities or gaps in regulations and compliance related requirements.  (i.e.   responses to Dept of Labor inquiries, EEOC audits, etc.)

 

Employee Relations

    • Ensure high quality support to customers.
    • Manage case workload as part of team including case resolution, partnership with HR Community, collaboration with COE or Counsel as necessary.
    • Partner with HRBP (Human Resource Business Partner) stakeholders and partners to support the investigation process; this may require capture of foundational details, asking questions of a sensitive nature, or escalating as needed to achieve resolution for the employee or on behalf of the company.
    • Manage correct flow of inquiries between BEST Employee Relations and Speak Up to appropriately route ethics related inquiries.
    • Maintain Compliance and Efficiency in support to Counsel and Processes
    • Follow Employee Investigations-standard/noncomplex.
    • Support Accommodation Process & Requests
    • Support Performance Management Expertise Templates, Process Ownership–Warning letters, PIP (Performance Improvement Plan) templates, etc.

 

 

What We Are Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4+ Years of Experience in Human Resources, preferably including team leadership.
  • Job Specific Experience/Skills  
  • Technical Skills (i.e., SAP, MS Office, etc.)
  • Physical requirements of the role sitting, standing  

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced Degrees, master's degree in HR, Business, or other related areas
  • Relevant Industry Certifications, SHRM certification or PHR
  • Service Now or similar case management systems
