SUMMARY:

SalonCentric is seeking a creative, driven, and organized individual to lead and execute video content creation. In this newly developed role, you’ll partner with members of the social media and cross-functional teams to bring social-first video to life across multiple platforms supporting company initiatives.

This position is the key player we’ve been missing that will combine ideation with video content creation; a multi-faceted video editor responsible for capturing, assembling, and manipulating video footage, applying artistic editing techniques, and creating finished high-quality videos.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Review existing video content to reformat & optimize for social platforms, such as: TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and coming soon – YouTube
• Plan, develop, create & edit videos to support SalonCentric social media initiatives – including filming video content in our stores and offices 
• Lead all aspects of video production (both short and long form), from pre – all the way to post, including filming, editing, color correction, basic sound mixing, and motion graphics 
• Coordinate post-production process for low-res and high-res video selection 
• Maintain an organized library of raw media, projects, and final masters
• Assist with curating a music library to be used for SalonCentric & Influencer team
• Engage in content brainstorming, storyboarding, creative problem solving, and evaluate video performance analytics to apply to the development of continuous data-driven learnings
• Keep your finger on the pulse of what’s trending in the social space and be able to respond by proposing new ideas and creative solutions 
• Travel to support the social media team’s live events & attending local events with quick turn edited content
  
  

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Have 3-5 years experience creating video content - preferably for social media (organic, paid, influencer marketing) and/or digital media including storyboarding, shooting, and editing 
• A high level of technical proficiency using video equipment and editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro and a basic understanding of After Effects & Photoshop (or similar program)
• Highly skilled in editing and producing high-quality, engaging video content for social media platforms including trimming, cutting, arranging footage, adding transitions, music, sound effects, visual effects, color correcting, grading, and adding text overlays and captions
• Bachelor's degree in Multimedia or Film Studies, Video Production, Animation, or related field
• Ability to manage the editing workflow to align with work processes while meeting deadlines
• Comfortable with and experienced in managing and navigating different personalities while communicating effectively and efficiently between stakeholders in the creative process 
• Familiarity with beauty and/or professional beauty industry a plus
• Bonus Points: You are a creator and are comfortable going on video yourself (not required)
