ABOUT TRAVEL RETAIL

Travel Retail Americas oversees all Travel Retail operations across the Americas (over 900 points of sale) including airports, cruise ships, airlines, downtown duty-free stores, and border stores.

JOB PROFILE

  • Bachelor’s Degree – design background is mandatory (Visual Merchandising design, interior design, event design)
  • 2-3 years experience
  • Creative & strategic thinker with strong project management skills – Managing budget & external suppliers (vendors)
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving environment with a strong entrepreneurial spirit
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and cross-functional skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work as part of a team

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Our portfolio makes up 17 brands constantly animated, including the highly-aspirational and multi-expert ones such as Lancôme, Yves Saint Laurent, Giorgio Armani & Kiehl’s. Starting from a brief and working hand in hand with marketing and digital teams, you will be in charge to create, adapt and design and implement the best pop up, store events and off counter experience in Americas’ airports.

MASTER RETAIL DESIGN FUNDAMENTALS:


  • Express and decode brand’s image/value & sense of purpose
  • Understand & Integrate Market ‘specificities (TRAVEL retail)
  • Understand customer path & shopper experience’s rules 
  • Lead design prospective & innovation 

DESIGN CUSTOMER CENTRIC RETAIL CONCEPT

  • Uplift brand’s visual identity to build customer centric retail concepts
  • Create and design visual concept to animate in a consistent customer path, include the O+O  
  • Define & ensure high quality standards

DELIVER OPERATIONAL IMPLEMENTATION WITH EXCELLENCE 

  • Adapt the retail concept according to the client and package criteria 
  • Ensure technical and legal compliance regarding the production – Sustainability
  • Cooperate with 360° internal & external stakeholders to guarantee consistent retail experience
  • Pilot & Monitor RD’s efficiency in line with timelines and budget

ACT AS A BUSINESS DRIVER 

  • Guarantee the ROI of POS in line with business objectives
  • Negotiate with retailers about staging and implementations
  • Monitor POS performance and drive it according to local strategy

KEY SKILLS:

  • Creative mindset able to challenge status quo.
  • Organization and ability to prioritize tasks based on strategy.
  • Clear and effective communication.
  • Teamwork collaboration.
  • 2D & 3D design software use (Adobe, Sketchup, …)

LANGUAGES: English, Spanish (Portuguese is a plus)

TRAVEL: 30 %

While managing several prestigious brands, animations and clients, project management skills, ability to multitask and interact with multiple stakeholders, internal and external, are a must to successfully complete all the steps of the project (creation, production and installation) and to guarantee perfect execution, on time and on budget.
