What You Will Learn: 

You learn to model fluid flow in CFD software and lead 3-4 simulation projects start to finish throughout the year. You’ll learn to effectively interface with internal partners, manufacturing plants, and vendors.

Job Responsibilities

·         Responsible for leading several simulation projects, including working with stakeholders to define scope, inputs, and outputs.

• Responsible for refining the CFD workflow and developing expertise internally.
• Under minimal supervision, completes tasks as directed; adheres to set objectives and standards; provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity; interacts effectively with customers (internal and/or external); generates reports and /or master documents.

·         Secure all formula information per L’Oréal’s procedures

·         Adhere to L’Oréal’s CIQ procedures in area of responsibility

·         Maintain appropriate records and complete necessary reports in a timely manner

·         Maintain a safe, clean work environment and implement L’Oreal environmental programs

·         Perform other duties as necessary or required

Major Function

• Work with L’Oreal internal and external stakeholders to develop simulation expertise.
• Drive to complete simulation projects throughout the year
• Develop internal CFD expertise

Principal Accountabilities

• Drive to complete projects and provide out of the box resolution to challenges. 
• Independently prepare regular progress reports providing a clear overview of activities.
• Ensure timely communication of blocking points, delays and status to support teams and management.

What We Are Looking For: 

Required Qualifications: 

• Education Requirements - Degrees/Certifications:
• *Must have graduated within the past 12 months with an undergraduate degree* or enrolled in your senior year at a 4 year undergraduate college or university with a concentration in engineering (mechanical or chemical preferred)
• Job Specific Experience/Technical Skills -
• experience with CAD and CFD software
• 0-2 years of relevant experience in mechanical or chemical engineering
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills and prioritization
• Good attention to detail and quality of work
• Self-directed
• Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent, ongoing basis, without the need for sponsorship now or in the future
• This position requires a mature contributor who must interact frequently with suppliers on an independent basis to obtain documentation
• This position requires someone with good interpersonal skills to interact with manufacturing, corporate and various support groups, both domestic and internationally

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Advanced Degrees 
• Relevant Industry Certifications
• Experience with systems for CFD (ex: Simcenter STAR-CCM+ software)
• Soft Skills if applicable (i.e., project management, communication, time management, detail oriented, etc.)
