We have a suitable opportunity in the Corporate division for the position of EHS Lead. In this role, you will be responsible to manage the overall EHS activities & its operations. You should have 8-10 years’ experience in the space of EHS and with a B.E./ B.Tech degree (+MBA preferred). The location of the job will be Mumbai – HO.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and drive EHS in day-to-day operations at 6 Administrative Sites
  • Ensure the observance and the application on the site of the EHS system and policy of L'OREAL.
  • Helps the managers to lead EHS activities in the field.
  • Deliver general EHS training on site and drive the EHS training program of the site with HR and managers.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and Corporate Communications to spread awareness on EHS
  • Ensure the regulatory monitoring, communicate about it, and propose actions to be in line with regulation.
  • Implement continuously the L’Oréal EHS system and policy, assess the requirements' conformity of the site.
  • Bring his/her expertise during risk analysis.
  • Carry out EHS internal audits (control of non-conformities, implement and follow-up corrective actions).
  • Contribute to enquiries about accidents, incidents, and occupational disease.
  • Lead and help the business drive safety initiatives for Sales Force
  • Contribute through representation in various forums like Road Safety Committee and Women Safety
  • Drive Ergonomics program in line with Loreal’s vision and statement
  • Contribute to an exhaustive and accurate group EHS reporting.
  • Contribute to EHS & Admin team projects and initiatives
  • Contribute to reduce the environmental impact in his/her perimeter of activity.
  • Contribute to various projects of Loreal for The Future
  • Bring expertise and innovative ideas on energy, water, waste and biodiversity management at sites

Key Requirements:

CONTROLS RISKS AND OPERATES RESPONSIBLY

·       Monitor and apply local regulations and L’Oréal directives

·       Conduct internal audits and manage external audits

·       Apply and manage risk evaluation methods

·       Manage prevention of risks regarding people, buildings and the environment

·       Manage and maintain site fire protection systems

·       Define and manage emergency plans

·       Manage EHS with economic and business consciousness

·       Manage strong and transparent relationships with local authorities

·       Provide efficient communication and EHS training plan, content and documents

·       Support managers in the implementation of EHS strategy, action plans, tools and programs to achieve group’s objectives

·       Design and maintain site utilities and building

·       Monitor and manage maintenance and new installations projects

·       Have or achieve within 12 months, an externally recognized H&S certification (for example NEBOSH)

·       Provide EHS technical expertise

·       Apply L’Oréal’s EHS policy and management system

·       Sponsor and drive the L’Oréal ergonomics program

·       Analyze data and propose adapted solutions to the management team

·       Promote and deploy interdependent EHS culture

Physical Demands (e.g. % travel):

·       Travel will be need based

Education:

·       BE Mechanical /Electrical/ Fire Engineer with Diploma in Safety Management with Relevant 10+ years’ experience.
