We have a suitable opportunity in the Consumer & Market Insights function. In this individual contributor role, you will be responsible for managing the ‘Market Intelligence’ initiatives and help guide business decisions. You should have 7-10 years of relevant professional experience in market Intelligence, business Insights, business consulting, market measurement, data visualization & management, presentation skills and client/ vendor interface. The location of the job will be Mumbai.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Establish monthly market performance by category and channel/ platform through multiple data source triangulation. Improve accuracy of estimations by validating assumptions over time.
    • Define market structure for core and adjacent Beauty categories and assess growths and competitive landscape within each component.
    • Identify and monitor competitor activity through analysis of panel/ other data, determine the conditions the market that may affect sales (competition, socio-economy, channel, demographics)
    • Identify opportunities for growth and early warning on risks – macro and competitive.
    • Be the SPOC for L’Oreal India CMI with Market data vendors - manage deliverables & resources

Key Competencies:

  • Market Measurement

Understanding of syndicated data - retail audit panel, household consumption panel, analyst reports, intermediate statistics operations on excel

  • Visualization & Presentation

Translate data to visuals (on presentations/ dashboards/ scorecards), working knowledge of PowerBi, Tableau, Thinkcell and other visualization add-ins/ software. Communication skills with senior (heads of business) through presentations and analysis.

  • Digital Insights

Experience using Social Listening tools/ interpreting reports, tools which report Ratings & Reviews from Ecommerce websites

Key Relationships:

    • CMI, Marketing, Media & Digital teams
    • Sales planning teams – E-commerce, General and Modern Trade
    • External agencies – syndicated data and custom solutions providers

Physical Demands (e.g. % travel):

  • Travel will be need-based

Education:

  • B.E/B.Tech/Masters in Business Admin/ Statistics/ Economics
