What You Will Do: 

The QVC/IT Cosmetics Demand Planner is responsible for developing sku level forecasts that balance retail sell through, sell in, and inventory optimization to support the QVC, D2C and wholesale channels. This role is responsible for working cross functionally to validate retail strategies that maximize available inventory and consumer demand across all channels. This role is focused on business planning, new product and promotional planning with the goal of leading Marketing, Sales, and Finance to consensus of forecast. Thereby ensuring product is forecasted accurately, taking into account all demand signals and channel strategies. 

Manage the development, review and implementation of an accurate sku level forecast for use in financial, production and strategic planning processes. Identify areas of risk and opportunity to the business plan due to internal/external factors and alert management. Drive the continuous improvement of the demand planning and inventory management processes and systems.

Interact & collaborate with QVC sales and US marketing partners in the development of the forecast. Challenge the forecast based on analytical data - both quantitative (shipments/consumption) and qualitative (marketing, promotion) demand signals. Assure reconciliation of forecast with financial trend and clearly communicate risks and opportunities. Animate the forecast consensus meetings to ensure objectives are clearly identified and decisions are made.

Communicate regularly with promo operations to align them on the channel strategies and key priorities. Work with promo ops to ensure we are supplying the account with appropriate inventory levels and accurate on-time deliveries.

Communicate with supply planning team to ensure on-time availability of product, developing action plan or alternatives for delayed product.

Manage the product catalogue inclusive of product life-cycle. Analyze and interpret SKU effectiveness and efficiency. Guide and drive SKU rationalization.

Monitor channel performance versus the forecast throughout the month identifying any key shifts or trends. Analyze forecast variation/deviation with the goal to minimize out of stocks and prevent the build of excess and obsolete inventory.

Track the performance of new animations/launches versus the forecast. Develop sell through models to monitor execution versus ambition. Issue launch and animation assessments.

Participate in the budget process for QVC, D2C and wholesale channels within the brand.

Drive action plans to reduce Excess & Obsolete across QVC, D2C and wholesale channels with cross functional stakeholders.

Monthly reporting of channel level KPIs.

What We Are Looking For: 

Required Qualifications: 


    • Minimum of 5 years work experience in supply chain, retail or allocation
    • Strong analytical, communication and organizational skills required
    • Must possess advanced Microsoft Excel skills; SAP a plus
    • Business knowledge of retail: inventory management, merchandising concepts and store operations, retail math
    • Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain planning, retail, marketing or finance preferred
