Transportation Assistant Manager (B2B & B2C)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Daily Operations Management:

  • Performance Monitoring & Improvement: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) like On-Time In-Full (OTIF), backlog, and order aging from high volume of online transactional delivery orders (millions orders dataset).. Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and optimize delivery performance.
  • Order Management: Oversee Cash on Delivery (COD) remittance, Proof of Delivery (POD) confirmation, and manage ad-hoc delivery requests and special handling requirements.
  • Vendor Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with transportation vendors. Train vendors on standard operating procedures, KPIs, and ensure alignment with company standards. Proactively troubleshoot issues and address performance gaps.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and present accurate and insightful reports on transportation performance, including analysis of trends, cost drivers, and improvement initiatives.

Cost Management:

  • Budget Control: Manage and control transportation costs, ensuring adherence to budget and identifying opportunities for savings. Plan and revise the transportation budget quarterly.
  • Claims Management: Handle claims for lost or damaged orders, liaising with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure timely resolution and minimize financial impact.
  • Invoice Reconciliation: Reconcile transportation invoices monthly to ensure accuracy and process payments efficiently.

Multi-Channel Logistics Management:

  • Oversee and optimize transportation operations across diverse sales channels, including:
    • Offline B2B: Distributors, large retailers, supermarkets, shopping malls, and beauty salons.
    • E-commerce: Direct-to-consumer from platforms like Lazada, Shopee and Tiktok.

 Gemba Walk & Operational Presence:

  • Conduct frequent Gemba walks at warehouses and distribution centers to observe operations firsthand, identify areas for improvement, and ensure adherence to standards.
  • Undertake occasional visits to customer locations to gain a deeper understanding of delivery experiences and gather feedback for optimization


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a transportation or logistics management role, especially know-how in optimizing operations  driving cost savings.
  • Must have strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze big data from 2.000.000 records, identify trends, and draw meaningful insights to solve problems and improve decision-making.
  • Must have able to perform Extract-Transform-Load data for exploratory analysis and developing performance management dashboards by Microsoft Excel, SQL, and Python are preferred.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in the e-commerce or logistics industry, particularly with companies like LEX, Shopee Express, GHN, or Ninjavan, is strongly preferred.
