Job Title: Maintenance Planner- Mechanic (1st Shift)

Position Overview/Position Responsibilities:

Work with key stakeholders in the Plant to manage spare parts, kit jobs, CMMS and planned maintenance. This will be a centralized position working with Plant Operations, and will need to interface with the Technical Managers, Cell Managers, Short Term Planners, Safety Manager, Facility Manager, etc. 


What we are looking for:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Manufacturing environment and have a strong technical background. 
  • Strong understanding of Planned Maintenance processes preferred.
  • Wide background on multiple disciplines of machine equipment preferred.
  • Basic TPM foundation preferred.

Job Title: Maintenance Planner- Mechanic (1st Shift, Monday to Friday 7:00am - 3:00pm)

Reports To: Senior Manager of Manufacturing Projects

What You Will Learn:

Work with key stakeholders in the Plant to manage spare parts, kit jobs, CMMS and planned maintenance. This will be a centralized position working with Plant Operations, and will need to interface with the Technical Managers, Cell Managers, Short Term Planners, Safety Manager, Facility Manager, etc. The position directly reports to the Maintenance Excellence Manager. 

  1. Implement and utilize parts management system (CMMS). Develop and maintain CMMS content - parts and maintenance.
  2. Parts ordering / Inventory control, identify critical spares and help manage critical spares strategy, up to date parts ordering tracking system
  3. Analyze repair/PM trends & optimize parts/PM.
  4. “Kit” planned maintenance jobs.
    1. Prepare tools, parts, permits, Work Instructions
  5. Storeroom 5S ownership
  6. Conduct RCA on safety, quality, performance losses.
  7. Work with technical team, short term planners, and cell managers to schedule resources for Planned Maintenance. Manage PM BOM and PM Schedule 
  8. Conduct training on use of parts control system, develop training for new parts/procedures implemented.
  9. Develop & Report on 3-5 key maintenance performance indicators (KPI)

 

What We Are Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in a Manufacturing environment and have a strong technical background.
  • Strong understanding of Planned Maintenance processes. 
  • Wide background on multiple disciplines of machine equipment. 
  • Basic TPM foundation. 
  • Inventory Management practices. 
  • Safety risk evaluation experience (part of the permitting process). 
  • Must possess a strong technical aptitude and ability to work in a clean, safe manner. 
  • Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office including Excel. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Solid Time Management capabilities. 
  • Entrepreneurship attitude. 
  • Extremely Organized.

Decisions made by the Packaging Mechanic can directly impact Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Environment and Morale. They must make these decisions with only intermittent involvement from Supervision based on the knowledge gained from their trainings.

  • Safety: Fully supports an independent safety culture and works proactively to accomplish the safety mission in the plant of Zero Accidents.
  • Quality: Supports and embraces the quality mission of the plant.
  • Delivery: The ability of the packaging mechanic to meet the production demands ensures that our customers receive our products on time.
  • Cost: Operation of the packaging mechanic activities according to the standards ensure that cost to produce is aligned with the financials.
