Position Summary:

The Data & Analytics is a new function in the L’OREAL LUXE which is responsible for generating insight to the brand marketing team with using different kind of data – Sales, CRM, Campaign, Media, Market, Digital, E-commence etc. This role will be responsible to set up and lead the team to execute different kind of analytics projects for better data and marketing activation with the ultimate goal of driving revenue or reducing costs.


Key Job Accountabilities:

Analytics (50%)

Take the lead of deliver Taiwan Luxe’s Analytics roadmap

Be the internal consultant to solve the business questions/ problems from the management or internal parties

Monitor business performance and identify business opportunities/ operational improvement opportunities

Effectively prioritize the implementation of data, reporting, analysis, dashboards projects to meet the demands of various stakeholders

Lead different kind of deep dive descriptive, predictive and prescriptive data analytics project so as to facilitate business / management strategic decisions

Come up with innovative ways of transforming data to business insights & recommendations

Strategize and closely liaise with IT team on data strategy as well as analytics roadmaps


Data (30%)
  • Co-operate with IT to build data datalake

  • Standardize data definition across systems so as to ensure consistent findings obtained from different systems and reports

  • Ensure data quality in the datalake / database

  • Be the data master in the group


    Stakeholders Management (20%)
  • Closely work with different stakeholders to understand the business as well as identify the business questions & analytics problems

  • Regularly communicate and update the stakeholders on the business performance

  • Communicate analysis results and business impacts of insight initiatives to stakeholders


    Desired Skills & Experiences:

  • Degree holder in any related discipline, preferably Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Business Analytics

  • Strong passions on big data

  • At least 8 years of experience in business intelligence/ data analytics/ data science, preferably in retail industry

  • Track record of successfully driving cross department analytics projects

  • Strong numerical sense , good analytic skills and project management skills

  • Proficient in MS Excel and SQL is a must

  • Knowledge in data science (e.g. Python/ R…etc) will be highly preferred

  • Experience in BI visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI, Qlik, Tableu) is preferred

  • Knowledge in CRM/ Digital/ Sales tracking will be an advantage

  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced & dynamic environment

  • Good command of written and spoken English & Mandarin
