Key job accountabilities:

Ensure Group products and brands are promoted as effectively as possible in points of sale; handle relations with companies and consumers in line with brand values.

·         Ensure product are advantageously displayed on shelves

·         Manage orders

·         Ensure new products are given the necessary exposure

·         Develop a close relationship with department / section / store managers

·         Deal with out-of-stock issues

·         Gather information and provide feedback on competitor’s products and the products of the group

·         Prepare product returns – advise customers

• Stays up to date with the market, consumers and competitors • Builds on categories shopper insight •Activates business drivers • Pursues turnover and profit optimisation.

• Adapts brand distribution strategy • Collects and connects comprehensive knowledge about the retailer • Influences retailer • Collaborates across functions • Builds joint Business Development plans •Manages intermediate agent relationships

 

BUILDS SELLING PROPOSITION & NEGOTIATE

• Builds selling story• Sets negotiation priorities • Conducts Win-Win negotiation • Ensures compliance

 

MONITORS SELL IN AND SELL OUT EXCELLENCE:

• Forecasts business with accuracy • Manages BA or DA staffing and relationship • Masters brand selling scenarios • Drives point of sale field.

 

Education Knowledge & Experience

·         Relevant tertiary qualification and / or training qualifications

·         Minimum of 5 years merchandising experience in a retail environment

·         Strong financial and negotiation acumen

·         Strong project management skills

·         Ability to source and optimising supplies
