Order Preparation Team Leader – Trafford Park

X1 AM Shift X1 PM shift

As the Order Preparation Team Leader you will provide proactive support to the Team Manager in order to ensure that key performance indicators are achieved in terms of: meeting customer requirements; quality; safety; people management; efficiency.  On a daily basis you will lead a tribe of people to ensure operational success.  You will act as the operational lead for your team. 

 

You must be self-driven and results orientated, have a logical approach and possess strong communication skills. The successful individual must already show a proactive and flexible approach and be able to quickly build strong relationships with employees and ensure that they are leading by example. 


YOU WILL:
·To ensure that health and safety standards are maintained at all times
·To ensure staff are working to the optimum standards of efficiency and quality by having a proactive presence on the shop floor
·You will work with the Team Manager to ensure that all operational based tasks are met within the area of your control on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
·Ensuring that all Operations staff follow tasks and priorities throughout the working day within the tribe of people you are in control of
·Maintain and drive improvements of Quality, Health, Safety, Housekeeping Standards within your area of the control
·To ensure that housekeeping standards are maintained at all times
·To ensure that orders are picked in an efficient, accurate and timely fashion
·You will run and manage a Saturday shift worked on a rota basis.

·Excellent communication and influencing skills with experience of building relationships across the operation
·The ability to work at pace without sacrificing accuracy, Meticulous approach, demonstrating the highest attention to detail
·Operational awareness – you understand the key challenges in the operation
·Excellent organisational and problem solving skills
·Strong customer focus and a commitment to ensuring quality in all aspects of your work
·Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
·Attention to detail and solid administration skills.
·Good knowledge of warehouse operations
·Flexibility in your approach to working hours
