What are we looking for? 

L'Oréal's Consumer Product Division is looking for a Retail Design & Visual Merchandising Manager to define and implement merchandising strategy and retail design, ensuring adaptation to SAPMENA country specificities, in line with the global brand vision and zone strategies.

  • Build merchandising framework basis (1)zone strategy (2)store/retail potential (3)global brand vision – multi brands and category specific
  • Update merchandising vision for the zone – total brand merch guide on yearly basis and revisions basis new launches.
  • Lead any merchandising related topics with countries to ensure imagery is consistent and respected – usually cross function with brand team/DMI/BD
  • Co-create alongside global DMIs (retail & brand) to initiate and align strategic merchandising vision for countries. Take on the revamp of brand imagery when required
  • Create and adapt SAPMENA specific merchandising guidelines for brands, launch POS, shopper activations and category projects
  • Maintain and update all brand and category related merchandising assets with in-house designer and agencies – ensure access to countries
  • Propose strategic yet innovative solutions within the frame of retailers and distributors partnership
  • Work on adaptations of brand identity according to market and business specificities, while ensuring brand imagery is respected
  • Co-undertake and supervise the conception, development and execution of merchandising solutions according to aligned priorities in countries
  • Validate countries merchandising strategies, investments and adaptations – for continuity of brand solutions in-store, new launches, any new store opening for flagships. Additionally support the same during global and zone visits agenda
  • Optimize and propose merchandising production resources by regional pooling or by local country availability – supported with sustainability KPIs
  • Follow up on countries achievements, analyze results and provide feedbacks to countries and zone + global brand team. Encourage sharing of best practices from both countries and global (for out of SAPMENA specifics as inspiration)
  • Coach, influence and convince merchandising team of each countries in activating strategic merchandising solution. Improving their skill sets with more business acumen by providing access to data and shopper insights
  • Recruit, develop and manage zone merchandising team. Ensure development of expertise and know-how as well as support organization changes

  • Adapts the retail concept according to the distribution channel or customer profile
  • Ensures technical and sustainability compliance regarding the production
  • Cooperates with 360° internal & external stakeholders to guarantee consistent retail experience
  • Pilot & Monitors retail design’s efficiency in line with timelines and budget



  • Guarantees the ROI of POS in line with business objectives
  • Negotiates with retailers about staging and implementations
  • Monitors POS performance and drives it according to zone strategy and local relativity



  • Analytical and innovative using design thinking, insights and data
  • Contribute positively by comprehending differences in culture and team interactions across SAPMENA
  • Facilitate discussions with problem-solving skill sets, understanding needs and barriers in market in prior
