Sales and Training Executive
LOCATION: South Carolina
The Sales and Training Executive drives sales revenue to exceed sales plan by building strong retailer relationships, training and developing store associates, planning and executing in store events, maintaining and negotiating merchandising standards, driving sales by influencing store associates through side by side selling in store and managing freelance support to maximize key door opportunities.
REPORTING – Reports to the FSVP
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
GENERATE SALES IN TERRITORY: Active selling in-store 5 days per week through: demonstrating product, conducting brand events, participating in corporate events, side-by-side selling with store personnel.
BUILD RELATIONSHIPS: Build and maintain store management relationships through consistent communication through an account’s store personnel, including: Store Managers, Regional Managers, Department Managers, Visual Merchandisers and Retailer Leads. Conduct regular Store Manager Meetings in key doors to review trending business, establish in store training and event strategies to drive retail sales. Schedule and lead in-store events with forward planning strategies to drive, execute, and analyze event results.
EDUCATION FOCUS: Work closely with retail and Clarisonic Education teams to ensure consistent brand messaging. Participate in all webinars, in-person trainings and special education focused events to build expertise in the brand and category. Present & train new and existing product on an ongoing basis by conducting informative & motivating product trainings.
ANALYTICS: Develop action plans based on weekly review and analysis of weekly sales plan achievement for both service and non-service doors in your respective geographic territory. Analyze the business by comparing sales plan to last year and comp goals. Adhere to budgets and communicate concerns ahead of time with FSVP.
PRODUCT MANAGEMENT: Take pride in brand representation by upholding and maintaining the highest level of standards to all merchandising guidelines. Communicate out of stock or visual merchandising needs as needed, following all retailer policies and procedures.
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT: Ability to recruit, hire and train successful BA’s, freelance support and/or Clarisonic Field Support Staff that fit the brand image and culture. Approve invoices and review ROI on a weekly basis. Communicate fact-based human resource concerns and issues to the FSVP in a timely manner and follow through as agreed.
TIME MANAGEMENT: Work with FSVP to manage time appropriate to business and retailer priorities. Establish consistent and prioritized call cycles, to plan store visit strategies in advance. Sales and Training Executives must be well organized, meet deadlines for all requests; including but not limited to: calendars (as outlined by account), expense reports and event recaps.
These job responsibilities are subject to change in accordance with the needs of the business. Other duties may be assigned as required.
Successful employee should be flexible and proficient in organizational skills to prioritize to the ever changing needs of the business and communicate any concerns and solutions with their FSVP. Display the ability to determine contingency plans when business needs or changes arise.
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities to effectively meet the responsibilities of a Sales and Training Executive:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS OR REQUIREMENTS
Duties may require travel, overnight stays, and weekend availability
Light lifting (Up to 50 lbs.)
Education/Experience/Licenses or Certificates
Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform essential job functions
3 – 5 years’ experience selling in a retail environment; cosmetic expertise is a plus
Microsoft Office Proficiency
Proficiency with use of technology: (i.e. Laptop, mobile phone, tablet)
Displays sensitivity to the professional L’Oreal LUXE brand image and culture
