Your role, as a Strategic Sourcing Senior Manager (Category Management)  Aluminum and Glass,  at our facilities in Clark, NJ will be:

You will bring consumer insights and develop category strategies that fit L’Oreal Business needs.  As a category senior manager for Aluminum and Glass, you will contribute and influence the worldwide purchasing strategy.  You will manage a $70 million-portfolio.

Your responsibilities:

  • Manages category sourcing strategies for the Americas Zone (North America, the Hispanic Zone and Brazil).
  • Evaluates the supplier market and develops a deep understanding of the supplier base.  Identify break-through technologies and innovations.
  • Actively benchmarks costs, suppliers, technologies and innovations for their category internally and externally.

o   Negotiates regional and global contracts.

o    Bring forward new and innovative cost reduction projects to the Business Team.

o   Identifies and on-board new sources through stakeholder engagement.

o    Develops global and comprehensive supplier contractual/strategic relationships and utilizes commodity hedging strategies as appropriate. Drives supplier selection, development, and overall supplier management with technology partners/team members. 

o    Works closely with global resources to develop and execute optimal Total Cost of Ownership sourcing plans.

o    Builds strong cross-functional relationships with our internal and external clients to understand and respond to their business needs and priorities.

o   Owns supplier relationship and manages the supplier scorecard performance: Quality, Supply, Competitiveness, Innovation, Sustainability performances and follow up corrective action plans

o    Develops joint strategies with corporate Quality & Supply Chain teams to improve overall supplier performance.

o    Provides Risk assessments and mitigation plans pro-actively.

 


Who we are looking for:

Requirements:

Alongside experience in a similar role, you should be confident demonstrating all of the following:

  • BS/BA Degree required in Business Administration / Economics / Finance/Engineering/Supply Chain or similar discipline with 5+ years strategic sourcing experience
  • Demonstrates sourcing skills:  Negotiations, Supplier Relationship Management, Market Risk Management, and understanding of the end-to-end supply chain operations.
  • Highly analytical and with strong organizational skills. Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced international environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.  
  • Fluency in Spanish and Portuguese are considered plusses.
  • Exceptional PC skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.  SAP experience is a plus.
  • Ability to travel internationally across the Americas
  • Legally eligible to work in the US on an ongoing and permanent basis without sponsorship.
