L'Oreal operates in a unique distribution channel called Travel Retail covering POS such as Airports, Airlines, Cruise ships, border stores, downtown duty free stores. 

Travel Retail Americas is headquartered in Miami and we are currently seeking driven, passionate, and customer focused Retail Design and Animation Merchandiser to join the team.

The position is based out of Miami

The Market Intelligence Manager collects and analyzes business and market data and turns it into actionable insights to support strategy and business decision. He / she will identify the market and consumer’s major trends and market opportunities. 

Job Description: 
  1. Organize an in depth watch of:
    • Traffic and beauty trends primarily via syndicated studies and ad-hoc research from markets of reference  
    • Identify and analyze Global Shopper profiles and trends: Chinese, Americans, Brazilians and Argentinians via syndicated and ad-hoc research
    • Identify and monitor competitor’s activity, new business models
    • Conditions and evolution of the market that may affect sales (socio-economy, culture, demographics
  1. Gather and synthesize data, lead the analysis, develop final findings and formalize recommendations via monthly and quarterly reports and presentations
  2. Work with the internal clients (marketing teams, commercial teams, digital, and retail design and retail education) to develop their expertise and knowledge of traffic, market and consumer trends, while collaborating with them in the integration findings in their business plans.
  3. Construct and communicate concise and striking messages for senior management, ensuring their integration in key decisions
  4. Propose and formalize the scope of the market research projects (objectives, time frames, human and material resources, costs)
  5. Guide CMI agencies on outsourced research projects and ensure the correct use and application of the Group's methodologies

Professional and Technical Competencies:

  • Expertise in all types of market research methodology, panel analysis, statistics and big data
  • Translates consumer and trends into meaningful insights
  • Shares & leverages best practices
  • Influences business strategy and communication CMI analysis with conviction (clarity, ability to synthesize, impact)
  • Engages and leads stakeholders in collaboration
  • Familiarity with key research vendors and their research reports focusing on Travel Retail Industry
  • Bachelor degree required, Masters preferred
  •  7-10 years of experience
  • Previous experience in consulting and market research
